definitely won’t have a clause but we may well have verbally suggested a fee we’d be willing to sell at now Bellingham seems a switched on lad so I’m sure he’d understand us wanting to reject it at this stage of the window
I’ll be ****ing outraged if we sell Jobe for £23million. He is going to be worth at least treble that in 2-3 years and he is vital to our chances of going up. He won’t force a move, the club need to stand strong here.
Agreed. But a gentleman's agreement is there. Same as Clarke and same as we give all our young players. That's why they are here to get the chance to prove and then improve.
Also worth remembering that United would need to pay more in my view - as any sell-on percentage would be less valuable.
Watson clearly has bags of potential but he’s proved nothing yet. Hardly kicked a ball in mens football, a long way to go. We’re not in a position to demand a huge fee for him currently imo
and what someone’s willing to sell at. clubs with more money are more likely to hold out for more money as they don’t need the money. Leeds had parachute payments, they didn’t need to sell gray. We don’t need to sell Jobe or any of our players but clearly £30m to us is worth a lot more to us than it is to a Sheff Utd or Leeds
He won’t be at a Championship club in 2-3 years. He is worth considerably more than £23 million to us right now. I refuse to believe we are entertaining the idea of selling this window, with where we are sat.
So if there's an agreement, he wants to go and United are happy to pay the asking price why is he still here with a few days left?
