The rules are farcical, absolutely.
But to take advantage of the loopholes you have to be in a position to, and we aren't.
Acun put in £28m last year, I wouldn't expect the Birmingham owners to have to put in that much more this year.

Cairney and CooperConor Townsend we've sold lower who's played above city.
Who else in recent years? Andrews maybe? Marney? Did Corry Evans do it?
Oh, and who was that lanky striker from the academy did well in Scotland then came back and was a solid journeyman. Name escapes me.
Think he scored against Newcastle in a friendly once.
Cairney and Cooper
Dan James would be an obvious one..
I thought it was only 2 clubs per season, or does the Irish league finishing mean it doesn’t count as this season?
Did we get a fee, sell on clause, buy back clause? Because Sod’s Law says he becomes a superstar & will be in the PL before us if our history is anything to go by.
I think the length of contract is really positive for the lad
He's got some security, he now knows he'll be a professional to his mid 20s, he can plan a life around.
He's got an opportunity now to build a career for himself.
Over to you now, Will.
He played on the wing a lot under Rosenior. I'm not sure it's as big a deal as people think.

Hughes , He's 20 FFS.... CB's don't come into their own until they mid 20's... for the club to sell him inside this contract would be mental. Maguire only improved alongside Dawson..? . et alHughes won't be here long term. He'll be gone in 18 months, he's still error prone but someone will take a punt on him at PL level because of how good he is on the ball.
Rushworth isn't more established though, he's younger and Ivor's played more games at a better level. It's replacing one young player with another.
Would they say no to a 10m+ offer given our financial position?Hughes , He's 20 FFS.... CB's don't come into their own until they mid 20's... for the club to sell him inside this contract would be mental. Maguire only improved alongside Dawson..? . et al
Times Omur has looked bad in the middle: 1
Times Omur has looked bad on the wing: Lots
Times Omur has looked good in the middle: Lots
Times Omur has looked good on the wing: 0
I don't think that's accurate at all. Like I said he played there loads last season and no one ever said he wasn't playing well then.
