1% is the high end of the estimates. It ranges from 0.4-1.0% of the population, not accounting for regional variations. Having said all that, there's only about 5% of epileptics who have negative reactions to flashing lights. So we are talking between 8-20 folk affected
I hate the flashing lights. Absolute ****e in my opinion. I go to my seat late because of them tbh when I go.

Aye it's just my preference too. Don't like them so don't get there to see them and leave before they start again. Just a preference thing like.

Yep. Not too keen myself, though I don't alter my behaviour on their account yet.

I suppose they are just trying to gee things up a bit, but I'm not sure it's needed. As for after the match, it will seem a bit naff if we've lost!

At the risk of being called uncommitted when I go I leave my seat between 80 and 85 mins. I generally then stand stop of stairwell to around 88 and then run. I have a 3 hour drive home and if I get to the motor behind the traffic it is more like 3 and a half hours. A night game is even more important if I have work next day or I wouldnt be home 2 if I wasnt on the mark. Thinking back I suspect night games are worse for many. Back in the days when my dad took me to night games it was the same routine, we had to drive back to Weardale and he would be on day shift next day so we legged it early so he could get his head down.

I know lads with busy jobs, who have season tickets and skip the night games due to getting back late etc.

This is where I think entirely differently tbh.

In your case, and mine, you've already committed yourself to the whole day that lasts ten hours. To avoid making it ten and a half hours you're missing the last ten minutes of a game. The equaliser, against Leeds, came in the 97th minute and was one of the biggest scenes this season, the post match celebrations with the players were absolutely incredible.

For 3pm KO's it's the difference between being home at eight or half past ...

... night matches I can understand but I wouldn't want to miss out on a last minute winner to make such a slight difference.

You wouldn’t watch a film and turn off last 20 mins. You wouldn’t miss the last chapter off a book.

Its live theatre is sport with an unwritten ending.

Those around me started leaving on 80 minutes, so with some games having up to 10 minutes injury time you're right.

If it had been a mid-table end of season stroll and 3-0 up I could almost understand ...

... but NYD was a vital promotion battle and only one goal ahead.

Some people must be absolutely addicted to their Ovaltine <laugh>

A risk I am ok with tbh. For me the day is a chance to see family and friends, which is always pre game, and see the lads play. On a Sat game I am usually out the house 8-30 to be there in time to visit some family before. I am ready to be back home by 8 and settle in with a few beers and watch highlights etc. How I like my day done and dusted. Hate sitting in traffic.

You should have seen me when we went 3-0 down to Charlton after 30 mins to 3 own goals. I was in the Howard Arms by 3-40, and that was only after the police intervened to open the doors to let us out <laugh><doh>

Earliest I have left was half time, when we were 4-0 down at home to Aston Villa in 2015. Bloke in the Isis had to call his staff back from their break as it suddenly got rammed. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Nothing at all wrong with that mate - you’ve paid your money so do what you like <laugh>

I couldn’t be bothered to be that arsed about what others do personally. Madness imo but hey ho

Think I remember that. Was it Benteke who tore us a new one?

I was given some corporate tickets and I lost my head big time due to the incompetence on show. Right in from of my boss at the time, who provided the tickets. Left in disgust. Had a talk on the Monday <laugh>
