... here's your answer.

I was at the Sheff Utd game and on the row just behind the walkway for the exits.

From the 80th minute there was a constant stream of people leaving their seats and walking towards the tunnel to leave the ground. Fair enough, if you're so desperate to leave, just leave ffs. But instead they stop leaving, whenever there's an attack, and block the view of people who'd really like to stay and really like to watch the match!.

When you shout at them, to stop blocking your view, they become aggressive as if you're saying they're paeedophiles.

So here's my solution to separate the genuine committed supporters from those who are desperate to 'beat the traffic' and get home so they can sit having their fiicking Ovaltine. Just as we have a 'family section', let's have a '90 minutes is just too long' area.

Anyone who just has to leave the ground, at 2-1 during a vital game, can go in the *80 Minute section. Those who are in sections, for normal people, aren't permitted to leave until the final whistle ...

... I really can't see why anyone would have a problem with that tbh.

80th minute is daft like. I left about 2 minutes before the full time whistle to beat the ridiculous queueing from the East Stand and help my dad down the stairs. He struggles with his knees and some arseholes just barge through when it's rammed.

I genuinely don't know how a proper fan could leave a game on a knife edge at 80 minutes or so. I'd rather watch it at home than miss the last 10 minutes.

I finished the match in the East Stand near the NE corner ...

.,.. there was a lovely lady calling people all manner of c*nts for leaving on 80 minutes.

I really don't get how someone can be committed ... but only for a percentage of the game.

Never understood It at all. I've left early about three times in over fifty years, when I've absolutely had to.

But it has always happened, here and everywhere. You just see it more now, with seats flipping up and spaces more obvious. Weird to me.

My Dad struggles with his knees and general mobility. We wait until most people have left the ground before we start the journey home

There's way too many seats for the number of exits, may need to look at moving next season for my dad.

On the subject of leaving early, I don't know if it's every game but the last match I went to they asked people who don't like flashing lights to leave before full time and I think they had the lights going pretty much on the whistle.

Epilepsy is a common condition, just over 1% have it. It's not like anyone gives a **** about the flashing lights so maybe knock that on the head and let the 400 fans who have epilepsy stay as long as they want.

1% is the high end of the estimates. It ranges from 0.4-1.0% of the population, not accounting for regional variations. Having said all that, there's only about 5% of epileptics who have negative reactions to flashing lights. So we are talking between 8-20 folk affected

Stewards need to move them on from standing on the walkway blocking peoples view. If people want to **** off on 80 mins (and I'm 100% cool with those that do btw, they have their reasons) then they should **** off properly out of the ground and not block other fans' view.

Apologies, I though this was a discussion about why people leave early.

I don't mind the lightshows, but suggesting the club don't do it because 8 people in the stadium may be affected (despite the prior warnings) seems a tad over the top.

My comment wasn't directly related to the thread it was an indirect observation.

I don't agree that if 8 people in the stadium might be affected by something it's fine to tell them to bugger off early despite paying for their ticket same as everyone else.

If it was something important like topless cheerleaders I could understand it but it's flashing lights, it's pointless doesn't add anything to the match experience. Just sack it off be inclusive to everyone.
