I'd have thought we will have one, but as Newcastle says it'd be based on the profit they make selling him on somewhere higher up the food chain, which is unlikely to happen.
I love how the players who work hard are crap, Darnborough is the god of transfers & Sinik keeps getting mentioned when talking about players that can be part of the squad WTF are some of you on
As a lone striker absolutely but play him in a free role next to someone doing the donkey work and I think he could well surprise you. He’s a very clever player and got good skill and technique.
I think if we could get anywhere near the money we paid for him he’d have been at Boro since July and his transfer saga wouldn’t have rattled on half as long as it did.
God only knows why not. It seems to me we have yet another manager who’s more interested in trying to assert his style rather than make the most out of what he’s actually got.
addressed in the latest 1904 club. Basically City aren't the only party in any given transfer and they simply can't control the other parties. Also we need players out first, before we bring more in.
And his style is the same as walters, and rosies, and peps and klopps and ipswich and every other team under the sun.
The best ones are those who slag off the recruitment then in the same breath slag the owner for dispensing with (or not doing enough to keep) the likes of Darnborough and Tan who were primarily in the responsible roles. Then they refer to the brain team disparagingly, who are yet to have a full window to judge them on in in it's current form. But let's face it, we know what the agenda is. Blame the owner when recruitment is **** and then blame him again when he changes the recruitment team. But who cares about blatant contradictions when there's some frothing to be done, eh?
As much as we all want business done early it’s also worth remembering Saturday is our last league game until the 18th. It would have been unlikely any signings made this week would have gone straight into the starting XI anyway. Saturday is just another hill to get over - probably our most difficult home game remaining. Which is actually a benefit in some ways as it gets it out the way and our more winnable games hopefully come with a better squad.
Would agree with all these, apart from think we need to keep TLT (as 3rd choice). Also I’m in no rush to see Longman go, we certainly aren’t gonna be buying3 or 4 wingers in the transfer window and he’s already proven to be a reasonable back up.
They’re struggling to score atm touch wood. So hopefully we can put in another resilient defensive showing. Personally not bothered about performance anymore just points.
Absolutely. I just don't want to see him leading the line. He can play a bit but needs to be less of a focal point as he isn't that hard to defend against.
