I think in most cases it's not even laziness. Some people just have drive, intensity, aggression and a will that others don't, they're still trying but it's not exceptional, certainly not enough for this level of football.

Maybe players like ebiowei zaha kamara for us find it hard at a good pro level to replicate their youth when they’re probably so much quicker and a great dribbler and full backs can’t get near them? then it comes down to good support
A boss that believes in you and a good attitude or you’re indulged slightly.
Zaha wasn’t happy at Man U and it showed
Sent back to palace and thrived in a homely environment.
It’s why I don’t like fans getting on kamaras back
Worst thing for a young wide man
Blackburn **** themself when he got free and he was dragged to the ground doubt that happened too much at youth level
And they often had two men on him

I agree with Burnsy that there's a good player in Kamara. A lot of people sniggered at his pass to Pedro on the floor but to me it represented an ability to keep scanning for good options right until the point of needing to release the ball using peripheral vision and instinct, probably why he often puts in dangerous balls.

Often on his back, which is where the diving twat usually was after conning refs into awarding a penalty. :emoticon-0138-think

As a fanbase we’ve definitely jumped on Kamara’s back a little early.

I suspect the plan was to ease him in behind Belloumi and Millar but he had to be our main winger almost immediately because of injuries.

One thing you can't teach is pace, you can train players to be quicker but genuine pace you've got it or you ain't and Vaughan and Jarvis ain't. for wingers in particular pace is massive

100% a player, needs confidence and a few goals. Was gutted his got disallowed the other day as I think it would’ve been huge for him.

I think there is an interesting similarity between some of these wide players mentioned. Zaha was obviously brilliant and I think he probably did show more intensity than the likes of Ebiowei and Kamara often fail to, but he had that same permanently moody demeanor which I think a lot of people struggle to understand. It's hard to accept that they're giving it their all and are fully focused on the team's success when they're moping about, shoulders slumped, blaming teammates all the time and looking like the opposition daring to challenge them is an inconvenience.

With Kamara, it would certainly be too early to write him off, and he clearly is a very skillful player. But I think it is reasonable to question the way he carries himself and whether it's truly conducive to achieving a peak performance.

Same with what should've been his first assist at Norwich. Same two players combining again, brilliant ball and wrongly called offside.

Jarvis is absolutely rapid. One thing he doesn’t lack is the physical side, mentality he’s non league

what makes you say this? How as a fan, can we evaluate a players mentality?

what do you think is wrong with his mentality & what’s the evidence. “Non league” is a big claim

Football is easy to him, he’s always got away with not doing the defensive side as he’s scores nearly every game at YT, same at Shelbourne. One of my best pals came through at the same time as him and he says the same thing, just doesn’t want it enough

I saw him 4 times I think at U21 level, others might have seen more. He was always a) by far the best player on our team and b) not doing a stroke of work defensively.

I honestly can’t understand the abuse Kamara’s been getting. He’s end product has been absolutely ****e and his performances have certainly been below par on the whole but you can clearly see he’s got talent and I really don’t get all the he’s lazy bullshit. I just think that’s a really lazy and baseless accusation to throw at him. Even when he’s playing absolutely cack he’s still trying, still legging it, still making runs, still tracking back, still making challenges. Absolutely nonsensical imo.
