In terms of 'He's done so much good for our Club off the field',what are you referring to?

It's understood owner Acun Ilicali will chair a board meeting at City TODAY with Walter's future top of the agenda with the feeling being the German will be relieved of his duties, and the search commencing for a new head coach.

How was 7th in the league not stable?

Failing that, for all the criticisms towards the end you can't level that the team wasn't stable in its defence and was hard to beat on a lot of occasions. Hence the reason we had so many draws.

Not to mention the general feel around the club felt less chaotic than any other time during Acun's reign. Like it or loathe it but the club was stable under Rosenior.

    Seriously? Surprised you are asking.
Hope & ambition back. Crowds. Supporters back on side. Profile of club. Sponsorship. Pricing. Fan engagement (double edge sword, but overall a big plus imo) etc etc.

'A Board meeting'? We haven't got any directors.
    We haven't got any shareholders.
    All we have is Acun.

Ok, I agree in those respects to a degree. But whether we had kept Rosenior or not, we still would have lost more than half the team (loans, end of contracts, inevitable sales); the turnover would still have been massive and nearly all the better players would still have been gone. Darnborough also gone. Hardly stability.

    Anyway, it's the past.

Precisely why you don't compound the issue by sacking the management team and needing to replace all them as well, at least keep the stability of management and playing style.

At the end of the day Acun's entirely responsible for the position we're in, he sacked a good manager and replaced him with a crap one. He appointed Tan, he appointed the 'brains team' (whatever the **** that is) and he didn't bother with any transfers in the summer until he'd sorted his high profile chase of Mourinho.

He's clearly done a brilliant job of getting the fans back on board, but his footballing decisions have been appalling, both in player and management terms.

    Fair comment.
It was a gamble. It hasn't paid off. Hopefully Acun sticks with us but learns massively from it all, not least in rethinking this 'brains team' (as you say, whatever the **** that is) and replacing with a DoF & support that know what they are doing in the Championship as, back to point, I feel he's been massively let down by Tan and this 'brains team' (which yes, he is ultimately responsible for having put in place etc).
But yes, fair comments, summed up nicely in your last sentence. .

I've no idea how many directors we have, but we've definitely got two shareholders, the other is Ebru Atasav Tahranci.

Your final sentence sums it up really well.

And in that final sentence, for me, the first clause still outweighs the others - at least at this point/knowledge anyway.

I was asking because I wasn't sure what you had in mind?

In my eyes,he did some decent stuff with the free away travel,it saved people money,I applauded it at the time.Trips to Turkey were more of a vanity project but yeah,he put the cash up to do it,fair play,O.K.

Hope and ambition? Yes,I hope he moves swiftly in dealing with the Football currently being witnessed, our ambition at this moment in time is avoiding relegation.
Crowds, yes they grew under the promise of a serious challenge to get to the Premier League, that's hardly the case anymore and they will drop.Let's not forget he was boosting crowds by letting people in for practically nothing,it put bums on seats and suited his agenda and ego.
The rift between supporters and previous owner were at an all time low,it wasn't difficult to engage disgruntled supporters to come back,he promised much but as yet he's failed to deliver.
The profile of the Club? Yeah,we're recognised in Turkey and people are buying fake City tops from market stalls for £8.How's our current profile in the U.K?
Sponsorship? I would imagine the commercial team are involved in drumming up business at any Club?
Pricing, yes, the food and drink available on the concourse have been subject to some fairly hefty hikes of late.
Fan engagement, these Q and A's are pointless and involve people looking for freebies...

I'm not decrying his every move but FFS the bloke can waffle for Turkey!!

Not sure how anyone can say last season’s recruitment was appalling. He backed LR to the hilt which is what did for him in the end.

I think the decision to go gung ho on very expensive temporary signings, when it was possibly the toughest championship division ever, and we had little prospect of promotion anyway, was a poor one.

The signings themselves weee obviously very good.

Last season was appallingly short sighted in a league we had little hope of getting out of. We knew delap, carvalho, morton at a minimum weren't returning and yet had no contingency plan in place.
