I’d say that our first eleven was stronger than Norwich or West Brom.

Slater, Omur, Jones, Coyle, Giles were all part of it and some say that they aren’t good enough for the squad this season so that seems up for debate.

I think it was probably close to be fair but again this is going over old ground that everyone has either decided on or not.

After losing the biscuit man the last thing the owner would want is to lose the support of more sponsors. Sadly the new system has failed, time to move on. Where will the show trial be held and how do I get to watch it?

I noticed there was a group of Turkish ‘VIPs’ doing a tour of Hull yesterday arranged by the club’s commercial team.

Maybe this is the Brains Team?!

If acun hadn't backed LR in Jan given the position we were in, then he would have been slated for that as well. If we'd made the playoffs and won them ( which we'd have had just as much chance as the other teams ) then it would have been a master stroke and everyone would be saying he's fantastic etc.... but we didn't so he gets slated with the benefit of hindsight ( but that's just the norm these days )

Acun backed the manager and gave him all the tools needed in Jan to reach the play offs, but he didn't, it was unfortunate all round

I think you are probably right, but to be fair there were a fair few of us criticising this as foolish at the time. The autos were out of reach and there were going to be 2 of Ipswich, Leeds or Southampton in there so I strongly dispute having as good a chance as any in there. West Brom and Norwich were totally outplayed in their semi-finals and barely laid a glove on their opponents. It was, as said at the time by some, a ludicrous decision to go all in given our league position, our financial position and given the quality of the opposition. Sunderland did the opposite. Basically gave up on that season, had an absolutely miserable run of form (which might have led to relegation danger if another 5 games?) but they blooded their youngsters which now form the backbone of a team that should comfortably make play-offs (but not autos) and have increased the value of players they own. We on other hand start a season with a huge proportion of the previous team missing and none of the fringe players better through experience - we are the anti-moneyball team ... the anti-matter version of Brentford. I said when we drew with Plymouth in August it was a decent point for a relegation six-pointer (and got laughed at) but it all seemed quite predictable. So there is no question you're right that a large proportion of fans would've slated Acun (we have a great counterfactual with Sunderland and the atmos at the end of the season was toxic) but and just for balance, a few of us were criticising him as hugely naive at the time and without the benefit of hindsight.

Hull City were delighted to welcome club partners Corendon Airlines back to the MKM Stadium on Tuesday night and host them for our Sky Bet Championship fixture.

Corendon invited over 30 media representatives to enjoy our award-winning hospitality in the Raich Carter Corendon Lounge ahead of the game, treating guests to a stadium tour and taking them pitch-side.

This is another example of our strong partnership together, and we greatly thank Corendon for their continued support of the Tigers
