Thankfully most of the crowd have grasped that this isn't the 1970's we had to 'get into them and f*ck them up' <laugh>

Yesterday, most people appreciated what we were doing and there were only a few shouts of 'push out' and 'get the ball upfield' ...

... it's not easy because RLB is changing tactics almost every game, we expected a high press but obviously so did Boro.

In the first minute their defence had the ball and were clueless when we stood watching them stand on the ball <laugh>
Spot on Smug, it's still hard on the old ticker though :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Until they brought the big man on, we restricted them to playing along our lines to out wide and then back along to the other flank. They got frustrated a couple of times and played a straight ball through the lines but there was no room behind and they ran out of grass. Also you are spot on about RLB. Other managers might think they have him sussed but he changes it so often it will be hard for them. I had to laugh today watching the SKY recording, they said that Carrick had spent a long time on the phone to Rooney midweek to gets some ideas how to beat us....that didn't work out too well for him then :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Carrick got Roberts booked, jumping up and down on the touchline right in front of the ref, 2 headed geordie cry baby

I couldn't understand how Roberts got booked for rolling the ball between his legs to where the Boro players were standing. Yes it went past them but there's is no ****ing chance in hell, he threw the ball away to gain an advantage! Stupid booking from the ref for me

i thought it was Rigg at first but text my Mam to ask and she told me it Was Roberts! So
I was likely more relaxed than you lot!

mind the yellow Rigg got, compared to the non-yellows for Boro was a joke!

Already posted it on here somewhere, I was convinced he must have had money on a 1-1 draw, where did he get the extra minute from to add onto the 3?

By his reckoning he should've added on the same percentage to the entire second half which would've meant 12 minutes extra time ...

... you're right mate, it's absolutely ridiculous.

I posted it on here <cheers>

I've just seen Carrick's post-match interview and it's quite sad tbh.

He seems to have so little love for the game and carries such bitterness.

He just couldn't bring himself to compliment Rigg on his goal, it was 'just a deflection' ...

... and he absolutely believed Sunderland were only celebrating because we'd beaten the mighty Boro.

'You could see what it meant to them by the way they celebrated ... not just a normal game for them'.

F*ck off you bellend, we'd just created club history and gone top with the youngest side in the world ...

... there are school teams with older squads than ours <laugh>

Ah but he couldn't really come out and say that the youngest team in the Championship made his paid for team look ordinary and didn't really give Patto a save to make. Yes I'll admit I was nervous about the amount of possession they had towards the end of the game cos 1-0 is a dodgy scoreline but once we scored the first, I knew that if we scored that second it was game over. For all their possession, Boro did **** all

He had that header, that hit the bar, covered btw, the Boro fans are talking like it was an open goal.
