Even though in our eyes most of the squad are kids but RLB is treating them like adults - making them think for themselves so on the pitch they can hopefully pick the right option.
Absolutely love his demeanour, no fuss or dramatics’s when winning OR losing and most importantly no sickening cheerleading
Perhaps they are both right. RLB and the coaches led 3 sessions whilst the players led other sessions independently to try and iron thing out. I'm all for empowerment and getting players to think for themselves rather than waiting to be told what to due. Of course certain players may , err, struggle with that concept. Perhaps our coaches are now there for guidance and only read the riot act when things go seriously wrong, who knows but it will be interesting to watch how things develop. It seems like the whole ethos of the club is slowly changing and evolving. Or perhaps I'm just being a bit optimistic
I think you're right mate, it's a million aspects we never see building solid foundations that can absorb a few knocks. For example, we can now afford to bring in the likes of Connolly because the ethos will affect him rather than vice versa. This is better than having 'a dictator'.like Roy Keane, whereby the adrenaline can only endure so long ... ... and when they eventually leave the club is left in disarray.
There is a time and place for everything, moderation is the key in all things. Though of course the odd bollocking doesn't do any harm
I suspect RLB is a bit of a smiling assassin tbh ... ... he's already made it clear toJewi, Ba and Aouchiche that their talent isn't enough. He wants blood, sweat and, no doubt, there'll be a few
