I say we just rename this thread and go for a hundred million posts.
Given the talent the lad obviously has, and his potential, this isn’t an hard article to write, whether there’s a grain of truth in it **** knows. Chris rigg won’t be a Sunderland player in a few years, imho, we’re not big enough in this current football pyramid to keep him, we’ll have a v good bank balance as will he, and we’ll move on hopefully to the next superstar, and personally I’ll wish him all the best.****!!!
HITC understands that the interest in Sunderland’s Chris Rigg is intensifying with clubs now regarding him as one of the best young talents in Europe.
HITC has been told by scouts working with two of Europe’s top clubs that they regard Rigg as ‘the best young English player since Jude Bellingham’.
HITC understands that Dortmund believe that the route they could offer Rigg could be a huge draw.
Fellow German outfit RB Leipzig are also keeping close tracks on Rigg along with Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid have also been watching Rigg for over 12 months and are monitoring his progress

I’d love SAFC to be a huge club where we can keep all of our talent. But, as you say, at this point we’re not and if I’m honest I can’t see it ever happening in my lifetime. So if we have players as talented as Chris Rigg clearly is, then I wish them all the best in their career. Maybe one day we will be the club of choice for world class players.Given the talent the lad obviously has, and his potential, this isn’t an hard article to write, whether there’s a grain of truth in it **** knows. how much do you think hes worth and how much do you think we will get realistically for him
Bayern have wanted him for a while. They were confident before the summer of landing him. I don’t find out much but the source regarding Rigg is solid.****!!!

That’s in an ideal worldMy personal hope for Rigg is that we get promoted this year and he gives us at least one year in the Premier league, probably helping us stay up. More would be great but money talks loudest and he will have the best of football world at his door.
I think being in the PL allows us to keep more players - and maybe keep one or two for longer - but I don't think there's a level that SAFC can get to where we can keep players indefinitely. The only way we do is if the academy loses its edge.I think ,as long as we stay in the Championship,we'll be selling at least one of our highly prized assets every summer transfer window, the proceeds of which will fund our growth in player development.
However, I think we all anticipate a moment will come when we achieve promotion, and that will be the next step in our KLD regime progress. Will we be able to keep the players who've got us there, how many will we need to add to compete in the top league and what type of player will we be prepared to sign?
It's all an unknown marra. For all our painful trials and tribulations.....it's rarely boring!
Of course it does. Who wants to play in the championship, really? I'm sure you said you'd be shocked if he stayed this summer as well lolI’d be shocked if Rigg was still here next season tbh (if we remain in the championship). He’s our best talent, comfortably.
Couldn’t be happier to be wrongI'm sure you said you'd be shocked if he stayed this summer as well lol
Don’t think like that mate, I believe growing the club in the next 5 years will be easier than the last five.I’d love SAFC to be a huge club where we can keep all of our talent.
