Seen a few on twitter say Baz went on a rant about half the players being unhappy. Cba to listen to it myself just yet
It's just a shame he's not good enough for the Championship. I could honestly imagine people saying the same when he's smashing it for us in the Prem.
Speaking on the latest edition of the 'What The EFL?! Podcast' alongside Sam Parkin and Matt-Davies Adams, the former Arsenal academy graduate-turned pundit revealed his verdict on the business conducted by the Tigers late on in the window, which was an impressive one to say the least. "Just a quick word on the late business done by Hull City," Clarke began. "I wasn't really that impressed with their window right until the end," he stated. "They ended up getting Charlie Hughes from Wigan, who's a centre-half that I really like." "They got Carl Rushworth, who was superb in goal for Swansea last season. Kasey Palmer, we know how good he is, and Abu Kamara, who was excellent at Portsmouth in the second half of last season," the pundit added. Clarke concluded: "I think Hull closed the window spectacularly well!"
find it amusing that so many have gone after Baz. Fletch said that the players haven't had a day off in 3 weeks and that's why they're all in a mood and provided 0 context to that...(as far as I can recall)
makes sense. I have no idea if what Fletch said was true, but Baz is getting pelters on twitter and the most controversial thing that was said, wasn't said by him.
Walter said in the Leeds interviews he was giving them a couple of days off this week. Seemed strange at the time that he's made a point of it, like they don't get days off normally? Baz on 1904 club stated that the players body language seems observably different than last year. Nothing more than that really, but then the others speculated out that no days off would probably account for that.
Typical media trying to stir things up as they’ve been embarrassed a few times by the club this season
It just really sums up modern football if true. Don’t feel the new system is working but then also unhappy at the manager trying to make it better for them…
I don’t think it’s true, why would the place be buzzing at the minute. We haven’t won’t yet, saw someone say I’d be more worried if they’re buzzing…. They just put in their best performance of the season against arguably the best side in the division now, they’re clearly grasping it, slowly but surely. It’ll only get better now with better attackers available
It will be more the fact that some of the players know they are no longer first team starters. Some will even be worrying about getting in the bench.
There's a lot of assumptions around this whole situation and it's probably a mountain being made out of a molehill, but supposing the players really are annoyed about the workload: it's easy to say they should get on with it and on a surface level that makes sense. But we've been through this before. Phil Parkinson was disliked by the senior players particularly for the way he came in and went mad on fitness levels, loads of training, ice baths and stuff. The squad never bought into him or his methods and it all went to ****. I doubt many people looking back would say he was right and the players should've gone along with it.
True, do just think there is such an air of hoping Walter fails. Don’t think Baz/Fletch are too different
