So hang on, you complain about wanting a striker, we’ve signed 2 this window, you complain because he’s 20 yet you probably know nothing about him?
What does the club have to do? Just splurge 15m on someone whose name you know and you think is class, who could end up being garbage? (I give you Rodwell and Grigg from recent times)? Why not keep your powder dry until we know something?
Just the most silly, uneeded comment given what we all know.

There's no need to police opinion, we've signed another striker who's played literally 1 minute of foreign top flight football.

Once again we are (or were) so close to having a complete team that can compete. Add an experienced striker and we are definitely top 6 contenders. Yet here we are again, gambling on kids and loans. Frustrating to say the least.

all will be forgiven when Isidor snags a brace and we are still top at 5pm :emoticon-0140-rofl:

He’s played 60 secs of senior football. He might end up a world beater but again we’ve been left short in the here and now

Honestly think we are top 6 contenders now, the league is wide open this yr for sure

I agree a 'proven' striker might help, but just saying one doesnt necessarily guarentee us anything either

We are def stronger now as a team and as you say heres hoping isidor looks the part

I get that but i just think the way we are set up we will score goals but itll come from all over the team.

Imo Mundle, Mayenda n Isidor could all get double figures. If Jobe was playing as the 10 (the role rigg has played last 2 games) he would hit double figures.

I think we have plenty goals in midfield, Rigg makes unreal movement into the box and will score a fair few, as will Browne. Poveda and Roberts need to be aiming for 5 each as a min.

If cirkin stays fit he might get close to double figures the way he attacks the box lol

O9 ballard mepham n co need to be aiming for a few each

We have goals in our team, they are just spread out rather than relying on Clarke to bail us out - we will def miss Clarke at times tho but thats because hes class
I agree with the goal spread, we've already shown that. Shame Roberts is so shy!

Overall a very good window in my opinion. Obliviously frustrating about the striker yesterday but that doesn’t take away from how we have improved the whole side.
For me, Clapham and Browne are the exciting ones, they really strengthen the spine of the team and bring lots of experience, which we cried out for last year.

Just to reiterate my stance.

The window has been very positive. Especially from within the club, they've probably made a fortune and only lost Jack Clarke whilst vastly improving our defence and midfield.

Wilson Isidor is a lad that excites me, I really hope he can bring the competition Mayenda needs. I also hope he can stay fit for at least 90% of the season.

I don't think the window has been a failure, but I do think Speakman has failed. He'll know that.

The striker we've brought in will be given all the time in the world by the majority of fans, like Hemir and Mayenda.

Just hope we turn up and smash these ****ers today, I've taken a disliking to them since we showed them how tinpot they are. Will take a draw if we aren't on form.

I'm over it now, it's all about seeing the lads develop and play, so far it's been honestly the best stuff I've seen.

I hope they've got a lad in mind for January, whether we need them or not!

I don't disagree but Speakman is gambling our season on Mundle and Isidor

He has played wide left lots.

Many safc fans wanted the club to show some ambition and sign a striker who is experienced that we own.

We have waited 3 years for this.

Instead we have a loan player, who can play there and also plays on the left. With a young player who has 57 seconds of senior experience to his name.

This is what many were worried about and what we have done in the past with the likes of Hemir and Burstow.

With the sale of Clarke and the funds received, it's absolutely fair to say the club should have delivered a more experienced number 9 who safc own.

That's irrelevant.

Wherever he's played, how effective he is and whether or not he's a good buy it's undeniable he's a striker ...

... no matter how many times it's repeated, like Poveda always being injured, doesn't change the facts.

You mean Mepham?

If we can maintain the consistency, we might even be automatic contenders. But with that lack of forward experience on the left and down the centre, I worry. Definitely gotta be top 6 contenders.
