Can we please differentiate between those concerned that no new forwards are linked in the press (as 99% of signings would be this close to the window closing) ; versus people “attacking the club”.

this

It’s not crazy to be disappointed at this time, considering the players linked it’s highly Unlikely that anyone that compares arrives now considering it hasn’t leaked

yes the window doesn’t shut till 11 but it’s looking ominous

I am impressed with Mepham coming here. He will bring that perfect mix of experience and quality. He is a calm sure footed defender. He will make others better because of that calmness. It also makes me feel, for the first time, 3 at the back is an option should we need it.

Probably been mentionee but his contrqct up in the summer. Bournemouth have moved up from his level. I fully expect him to be here next season too. A really smart loan move by the club.
It's a great signing. Think i've seen Ipswich, Celtic and Sheff Utd all linked to him this summer so we've done very well to get him.

I'm a bit worried now expected something announced by now! But even if they don't sign anyone I won't attack the club, I 100% agree with how things are done.

If the player they want isn't available or the selling club wants too much or shifts the goalsposts they won't be took for a ride. If a player would rather go somewhere else for more coin they won't break the clubs wage structure to get him if anything it probably puts them off signing the lad, they want players who see what they are trying to do and want to be part of it. Our club won't be on the brink under this lot!

So if things don't work out I'll be dissapointed but won't think it's the clubs fault or cause the owner wants to pocket the money. Maybe I'm a happy clapper but so **** I'd rather that than be looking for the negative in everything!
Well said mate. <applause><applause><applause>

Not

I am not attacking the regime, which I realize is your default answer to anyone you don’t agree with, I hope and trust, they bring someone in, but if they don’t we are hoping things go ok up front. You can’t capitalize hope.

I wasn't actually talking about you ...

... but you've appeared to pick up the cap to try it on.

My 'default answer' to people attacking the club is to say they're attacking the club.

Which seems logical tbh.

Aye big difference. Concerned but if it doesn't happen won't slag the club or speakman and be convinced it's cause they pocketed the Clarke money! <laugh>

Quite right. Everyone is right to be concerned now. We have 3 hours left. I’m not banging the club now. I’ll see how we end up at 11pm. No striker is a failure though, and I’m pretty sure the club must know that by now. No excuses acceptable.

All tenuous online links, nothing from the club. Anyone is free to suck all that ****e up, but shouldn't be surprised if they end up disappointed.
