I think they're sound lads to be fair, I've enjoyed their recent content, might see less of the buzzword headlines now that southern fella has gone and the two local lads are running the show.

 

The echo seem to never post a transfer exclusive unless it's an u21 for the academy

 

The Alese comment is interesting. Yesterday RLB said 3-4 weeks.

 

Na Spain stopped all that and made them sell few years back.

hate to see our players injured but Mepham is such a step up from Alese. My only fear is that our one cover for Cirkin is Hjelde

 

The multi club model is a massive loop hole that needs to be sorted.

Savinho is probably the most ridiculous example. He was signed by Troyes, loaned out to Girona (who qualified for Champions League with him starring whilst Troyes got relegated) and then went straight to City without playing a game for Troyes.

 

That's the point of having a squad though, if he is no good get shot otherwise injuries/suspensions are his chance to prove himself.

 

I reckon it will be much worse than that unfortunately.

 

Hopefully Hjelde plays better in a RLB team rather than the chaos of last season

 

Only right mind its dodgy as ****. They were a part of the player swaps for a long time though.

 

I've posted this before but I'll quickly mention it again.

A journalist I know, who works for a national UK paper but not in sport, says junior 'reporters' open accounts on forums.

They then start rumours, back up their mates, and pm people they befriend and feed duff info.

Once a rumour has gained traction it becomes reported as 'my sources tell me' and it becomes a fictional fact.

I used to have half a dozen people, I'd never met, sending me info. I had others who had actually sent me their mobile number ...

... I knocked it all on the head when I had friend requests from Tony Mowbray, Tony Norman and Denver Hume!

It all became too much and I never got any work done

 

Well yeah. My problem is he had his chance to prove himself last season and was horrendous. Cirkin has been so important to our style of play and we need a backup left back who can play in a similar style, for me. Hjelde can’t.

completely get the mitigations that everyone was **** last season, so Hjelde gets a clean slate to an extent and is still developing. But its his style as much as his ability that doesn’t fit for me.

The lad just cannot avoid injuries. He's had a couple of ankle problems now and some muscle issues.
Shame for him

 

Hjelde is 22 and played barely any games for us.

There’s been 2 or 3 games when he’s been more than decent.

I won’t be writing him off.
