Disappointed he won't be coming here but the quoted fee is very high. We are going to have to bite the bullet at some point though as good strikers are a premium and that was the whole point in selling Clarke, to be able to afford a game changing striker.

Sorry but I don't get the grief the club could get if we don't sign another striker. On here at least we've been linked with 3 or 4 strikers - whether we actually were is a different matter but we were all happy with them. His traits are worth the punt though. Think it's 10 goals in just over 2000 championship minutes, most of them coming for an average side. A team will pay big for him, not sure if there's much better for cheaper who are available this late in the window.
