3m more than a season ago, didn’t do much and injured for most of it. He should be 3.5m rising to 5m. I wouldn’t want him at 10m, too risky after his back injury.
Depending on money we have available and how it would affect other business, i'd pay something like £7m rising to £10m. It's a premium position with not many suitable options on the market, plus unless he has a disaster here he has good resale value.

I'd do this as well but only if Simic isn't happening. I wouldn't be going paying this if Simic has / is choosing us.
 
Yep. Still think Burnley come in.

I would be worried as a Burnley fan, easy (or so they said) promotion. Ditch the lads who got promotion then get relegated and the exodus begins of the mercenaries.

Looking from the outside they are now recruiting to get up with championship level players and starts the cycle again, nothing I see is investment in youngsters and talent. Owners seem to be the American Donald and Methane level with a little more cash to splash.
