Maybe I was very wrong and Isidor is the LW and we bring Mendy and Simic in?

Was thinking the same, spread the goals so we aren't so reliant on one player. Like Arsenal.

People saying it's a low figure, but Romano reporting it includes sell on clause too. If that's anything close to what we are giving Spurs, then the deal doesn't seem that bad.

Just awful timing really.

Isidor definitely had his most prolific spell at Lokomotiv as a LW which is why he was able to make the move to Zenit. Would make sense, as would him signing today, thus allowing Clarke to go.
If the logic ends up being Clarke for Isidor, Simic and Mendy then I can totally see the logic, no matter how disappointing it is right now.

Ipswich reportedly paid £15m rising to £20m for delap. I think Clarke is quite a bit ahead of him, a similar fee feels short. I think there will be different fee reported tomorrow hopefully it’s more than Romano is claiming
Sky sports going with the same fee, unfortunately

Gutted. But I've always maintained that you have to sell the player when he wants to move. It's how you get others to sign. Rigg will know (and trust) that if he decides he wants to leave next summer, he'll be allowed to do so, even if it means we don't get the full value. It's a long term strategy and one we must stick to

For context we are getting about 1 million for Clarke than we did for stewart

Clarke 10-11 million ish
Stewart was 10 million

£20m (inc add-ons) - so that's a surprisingly **** fee tbh. Let him go for less than 20m FFS
All in all if I’ve done it right it’s only about 3.75 million less after spurs clause then they wanted.

so not that much.

they’ve sold quick to recruit more players imo. Could we have held out and got more? Yes. Would we have had time to sign players? No

Way too short imo, surprised. Especially when you look at the deal we got for Stewart. I was hoping for £25m if I’m honest.

Two reported forwards to come in this weekend, a new left winger and back up full back, with Neil signing a new deal then it would have been a canny window. We’ve give ourselves a bit of time to replace him

I get the fee is a bit lower than we hoped for but the reaction to losing a player to a club a division above is mental
Huge test now of how they want to do things, they have to use the money to sign a higher quality players than we have been. Massive end to the transfer window for us
