No better time for them to make a case for themselves

Do people not realise we need space in our squad to give gametime to the younger lads, otherwise what's the point in buying them/having an academy.

Ballard is out for 6 weeks, let's buy John Egan on a 3 year deal on massive wages.

I'm pretty sure Alese or Hjelde or Crompton or Johnson could fill in for 6 weeks man <doh>

Also Ballard has only had about 2 weeks off so I doubt his fitness will be affect that much

Thanks mate. I remember a couple of lengthy layoffs and have vague memories of knee injuries before he came to us.

He is a big old lad, and the way he plays, probably lends itself to a few bumps and bruises.

You make a valid point, caveat on that is the frequency at which our forecasted injury recovery periods at prognosis are so different from the actual period. If we could be reasonably certain that Ballard would only be out 6 weeks it would negate the need to bring another lad in for his position.

Problem is at the minute due to Seelt's injury and Alese being repeatedly rushed back from injury to play before he was ready, its a valid argument as to whether we should be looking for reinforcements at CB, preferably a starter to go in alongside Ballard.

Unless we've got plans to loan out several defenders this summer I'd say due to the squad size, we have to put faith in the lads we've got, if they're not good enough now they're probably not going to make it and considering the invest we've made in them, it's would seem to be poor business.

We frequent the Guy Fawkes Arms in Scotton when we stay at the nearby Knaresborough caravan site. Food and service are excellent

Iirc Adomahs (maybe?) late foul on him at the start of the 22/23 season was a shocker, I’m sure the ref missed it too

He looked horrendous against Swansea when he started left hand side of a back pair

Tbf I’d like to give most of these lads a fresh slate this season after the coaches they came in for and worked under

Really good move for the lad. Good club and not far from home.

I’m sure I’ve had a social media altercation with him recently, overly negative posters always get my goat up
