Disappointing news but trying to see the positives, big chance for Aji Alese to cement himself as a first choice centre back during pre-season.
I've heard we slipped Shields £25 to knobble Ballard and stop the transfer ... ... made sense when I was told.
Bad he's injured, good he's not leaving. Confirms my thoughts that we probably need another CB though
Might sound arrogant but if i came into big money, aside from buying a mammoth house and maybe one abroad, I wouldn't move too far from where I'm at, love it around here.
Up to 6 weeks doesn't sound too bad on paper until you realise its realistically the first 4 league games. We then go into the international break so would make sense for him to not play until Plymouth away on 14th Sept
I think we need somebody to replace O'Nien as starting option alongside him. That person can cover him until he's back. Alese may well be that guy but I worry about both his and Seelt's robustness.
Aji, Hjelde and Triantis all centre backs capable of filling in, if you're worried about 4 games you must have been sh!tting yer pants at the thought of him being sold.
It's missing the bulk of preseason too. I know it's become cliche ('if only he had a full preseason' etc) but it can be vital.
What's the point in having him then? Might as well be a broomstick in a closet. We've got to have trust in these lads.
Callum Doyle joining Norwich on loan. Thought he would get a PL loan. He'll play left back for Norwich like he did at Leicester I think, Thorup inverts his fullbacks like Maresca.
I am a bit worried about Ballards robustness. Or am I getting confused? I am working and cant easily check.
