Not sure why Philo is getting some bad press on here. Football is a short career. A top player can last for say 15 years, 16 tops...Unless your name is Ronaldo...Make hay while the sun shines...When the sun goes down and its gone you don't want to look back and say if only I'd taken this or that opportunity. If you get the chance you take the opportunities...The one club man is very rare, unless you play for say a Citeh (e.g. Foden) or a Real Madrid, when it doesn't make sense to move on. Therefore I can't see City stopping any player who wants to go, as long as the deal is good for the club.
I always felt when we signed him, which was an excellent deal by the way, that he was going to be a one season player with the view of him having a good season and then selling him on for a good profit. It looks as if this is turning out well IMO.
