Dutch people, including Seelt, speak better English than most English people I know so I can't see it making much difference to him either way mind if that's what you mean?

no didn’t mean the language as you’re right (I work in Amsterdam a lot and have barely heard a Dutch word).

I meant more a kinship / confidence thing.

Mind, based on the Dutch World Cup/Euro squads over the years and their fall outs, having 'being Dutch' in common is no guarantee of kinship.

Sorry, not meaning to be so contrary.

What are the Feyenoord fans saying out of interest? Slot plays quite an exciting brand of football, so presumably Jansen's style can't be too dull if they see that as an appealing replacement?
From what I can see, very possession heavy in 22/23, a bit more direct this season but still an emphasis on keeping the ball. Not an intense press but more of a controlled press. Create a lot of chances. Quite reliant on full backs to create chances in 22/23 especially and one of them, Kerkez, is now playing very well at Bournemouth.

Very good at developing players, look at the amount of players sold for big fees during his time there. He's also very used to just being the coach, he didn't make decisions on transfers at AZ.

They churn out wing backs. Off the top of my head Stengs and Wijndal, both class players.

A fit Cirks might rock his world.

Not sure about the link with Jansen but he absolutely fits the bill. The AZ model of developing youth selling on and using data is exactly what we are aiming for he was heavily linked with both Celtic and Rangers and also looked at by Feynord Saying all that Dutch managers do seem to struggle abroad generally well liked but seem to hit an impasse with the club Worked with a couple of Dutch lads over the years Sound but very forthright and in your face they absolutely say it as it is. Would be interesting to see how he worked with our DOF
