Well, well, who would have thought?
(a few on here for a start, it was so bleedin obvious).

There are no players that are quality, experienced, and inexpensive all at the same time.

City won’t be able to sign a player without sacrificing one of those three criteria. It’s very unlikely they would be able to sacrifice affordability.

Quality + Afforable = Inconsistent
Experienced + Afforadble = Less Talented
Quality + Experience = Expensive

Obviously we all want proven quality, experienced players, but it’s unrealistic.

It’s easier for players to gain experience than it is quality, but that takes time and patience.

I honestly don’t understand why Matt Jacob didn’t start on the left and Coyle in his natural position, after all Giles has been out injured but Jacob is match fit, and if he isn’t he shouldn’t be on the bench. It was just a weird defensive set up from the off.

Nursing a calf injury by all accounts

Not for me he hasn't, I called it as soon as we signed allsop about how poor of a GK he actually is and that he's no improvement in that department over Ingram.

Neither Ingram nor Allsop are good enough from what I've seen

I assumed that's why we signed Pandur

The morning after reflection! I thought it was a good, exciting game, but for a short time when we were chasing shadows, end to end stuff. Just left feeling frustrated & disappointed, 2 points dropped for me, we had enough chances. Good response though to going behind early, again, guess we’re getting used to it! We had 3 or 4 great chances to score, but same old; hit post, can’t take chances, cheap goals conceded. First goal, poor. Did I hear right, on RH post game interview, Rosie saying he hadn’t seen the first goal & couldn’t comment! Every bugger at the ground could see Allsop beaten at his near post again in successive games, straight between his legs. Even young keepers are drilled to go down with knees together, keep legs closed. Second goal, someone should have taken a card for the team, we’re just not nasty enough! Well, not at the right time, late on I feared a red card coming out when we did get in their face! I can’t imagine any other team letting us break from one end to other without a foul. In any event Morton should have got a shot away, could have gone anywhere but the breakaway probably doesn’t happen. All ifs & buts. Omur and Tufan the stand outs for me. Despite his size, Omur is def game to get stuck in, got a good jump on him.

Well observed 54th min tribute to one of our own, Andy. Onwards & upwards to Sat, UTT.

Didnt we have two one on one's with the keeper and failed to score?
When we were given offside with just the keeper to beat we lobbed perfectly without pressure. I cant remember if it was Jaden or Carvhalo.

It was Jaden and yeah, I said at the time I can't imagine we'd have finished that so efficiently if he'd been onside.

How did you rate Tufan last night? As you always think he's ****e when everyone else has him down as one of the first names in the team and there MOM.

So majority of people are calling out Allsop for being utter gash when it is actually called for then there's you who calls out Tufan for being useless when he's having a decent game. Bit hypocritical.

I'm not sure how Allsop and Tufan are linked. I think Allsop gets way too much scrutiny whatever he does, and I think Tufan often gets too much slack and hype for what he actually contributes. I'm not sure how it's hypocritical to think that one player gets an unfairly rough ride and another often gets disproportionate praise.

Since you ask and for what it's worth, I thought it was perhaps one of Tufan's better games. He made a couple of moronic fouls like he often does and he wasn't exactly central to our attacking play, but he didn't give the ball away much, including a couple of times when I expected he probably would do, which is my other main complaint with him normally. As always he pressed well and chased things. On the whole not enough to make my top 3 but not a bad performance.

I thought Tufan had a good game. During the early stages I mentioned to a friend that Tufan always gets substituted. I dont usually think it's because of his performance. It's just an easy option.

The link is because people think Allsop is **** and you call out these people for saying he is when it’s not warranted, yet you call out Tufan for being **** when that definitely isn’t warranted and actually has a decent game.

Individually I dont think many players had a bad game. The difference was that Middlesbrough broke fast. We waited until Middlesbrough got set up to defend before we tried to progress up the field. This is why our wingers nearly always pass the ball back to the full back.
Obviously we did attack better sometimes but we waste so much time passing the ball left to right and back to left along the back.

I think it's true that Allsopp gets judged harshly at times but he does clearly have an issue with saves at the near post or close to his body. Unfortunately, I think this is well-known now and I'm sure the opposition are told where to place shots. It's time to see what Pandur can do and if he doesn't seem ready or up to it then we should be looking for a new No1 in the summer.

Yes, this is true. Even Leeds took their penalty straight at him because they knew he wouldn’t save it.

I haven't called him out at all for last night, and when I have criticised him it's because that's how I've seen it.

I'm not saying never criticise any player, I just think Allsop gets way more than he should.

This is true, too slow to move up field.

When we was braver playing through the middle I thought like we looked dangerous. More of that please.

Didn't Rosie say we didn't need a midfield enforcer at some stage? Why for their second goal last night did no one commit a cynical / professional foul? We never seem to do that. If that was against a West Brom, TWS, Southampton or Leicester, they wouldn't just have been allowed to run through us.
Because we are NICE... we've always been NICE... I bet if you went onto other forums you wouldn't read about Hull City being ****house dirty bastards and at times if thats what it takes... Greaves has had however many cards this season that got him suspended and I bet not one of them was for laying someone out..

He literally got his 10th yellow against Leicester for doing exactly that.

Isnt Connolly the nastiest?
and even he picked on one of his own players!

The keeper situation will be interesting at the end of the season.

Cartwright has done well at GY
Timothee has done very well at Doncaster and has good feed back from their fans.
Ingram will be gone
Allsop will probably stay.
Pandur likely be number 1
Robson will go.

I would guess over the 6, three might go, Ingram/Robson/ANother
