Oh wow, I have liked the look of him when I’ve watched the u21s but he’s still a while away from the first team, I wonder how much he’d go for.
Newcastle United senior scout Mick Tait was an interested spectator in the stands at the Stadium of Light over the weekend with the Magpies' summer transfer drive starting to gather pace. Tait's brief will of course be kept close to his chest but a player Newcastle do have a big interest who was on show on Saturday. With 58 minutes gone, 16-year-old Chris Rigg, who is yet to agree a professional deal with the Black Cats, entered the fray after being sent on by Mike Dodds. Rigg's future remains unclear with Sunderland hoping he will sign a pro deal on his 17th birthday in June. But the youngster remains the subject of interest from a host of top clubs including Manchester City and Liverpool

Premier League teams sniffing around Jobe? https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/s...3EIDiNqJ0APMsWoJ5cWTe3VQ2slFai3sgaboIl1iKYaH4
Interesting. I've not been impressed with him. If the surrounding hype allows the opportunity for him to move to a more successful club, and for us to cash in,I would take it.
He’s done well for his age and 1st year playing regularly, wouldn’t be upset at him going though as I think we need to have a complete reset for our midfield and have a couple of ready made c/m. The lad is gonna have a great career whatever happens wether it’s here or anywhere else
I think Jobe is still getting used to his body, sometimes when kids go through growth spurts it can take them a while to fit into the new body, I feel like he gets the ball caught under his long spidery legs quite often, is then pushed from the back and either loses the ball or wins a freekick, depending on how the ref is feeling that day. Also I think his acceleration is a bit slow, which might be related to his long legs, note that when he gets upto speed he is actually a very powerful and pacey runner with good speed. I’d sell him for a big offer, but happy to keep him for another season to see if I’m right.
I think he has the ability to produce the skills. It's his awareness, speed of thought, decision making I would hope we can improve.
Jobe needs a runner round him, that way he can play his style better imo. Also if he is away, I'd expect decent money for him.
I think there's going to be some big changes in the summer. I think the powers that be will have a summary and see where we fell short and possibly change the approach to one or two things. KLD clearly plans ahead and isn't afraid to move the goal posts pre season, be it sacking managers or replaning for the play offs rather than automatics as he did in leauge one. I believe nothing is set in stone during planning.
Yep....another total reboot of the playing squad and managerial set up. We start again, I'm guessing a few of our better players are leaving and a new manager will be appointed ( surely can't be Dodds) We are in desperate need of some continuity...get it right KLD and KS..
Jobe hasn’t been amazing but I think he’s been alright this year. 6 goals and some of them have been crucial. He’s got huge potential so I wouldn’t be in a rush to sell him. In fact we would be mad to, in a way, as he could be excellent in a year or two. Transfermarkt have his current value as €9 million and it’s very likely to go up a long way from there.
He's worth £15m-£20m (plus sell-on) as we speak due to his reputation and the amount of games he has played at his age. I can only see that amount going up with another full season of first team football.
I definitely don’t think he’s “worth” £15m but actually don’t think it’s beyond the realms of possibility that some clueless big club spunks that kinda money on him as a gamble
I’d be very surprised, personally. I suppose we’ll soon see though. It’s gonna be a very busy summer, no doubt about that.
Paddy McNair is out if contract in the summer and can play RB, CB or DM. Would anyone have him back on a free?
