Fourteen strikers that could solve Hull City's attacking dilemma in January transfer window - Hull Live (hulldailymail.co.uk)
Greaves is one booking from a suspension too. Christie could fill there, but injured. There’s no way they would let him go without another lined up. Presumably will be a squad player, but never know with their current thinking!,
Smith has looked great but needs game time or he'll stagnate on the bench. I wonder if they feel confident enough in Ashbee for him to split his time between U21s and the bench.
If Greaves gets a 2 game ban as he will have 10 cards this season, if this is true, then it does seem odd letting Smith go out on loan.
I don't think you get a 2 game ban for 10 yellows unless you got a 1 game ban for 5 but could be wrong on that.
Aah ok, is he ready? Smith has been above him in the pecking order for the bench. I cant believe Liam would weaken the squad if as it seems we’re going for it.
Hopefully a sign that another CB is coming in. Imho, I think we need better than we've got if we're really to go for it. 1 of Jones or Greaves with a better CB who can be dominant in our box and a real threat in the oppos. With SMcL as a decent back up. .
I think both Greaves and Jones are good enough from a technical perspective but I feel they have a similar subdued temperament and it would be good for us to have a more commanding player at the back. I do think Greaves could be a captain one day but in a Harry Kane lead by example kind of way.
The Championship issues a one-game ban to those who pick up five yellow cards before the 19th game of the season. Ten yellow cards before the 38th game mark, and should you get fifteen yellows before the end of the season, then it's a three-game ban.
I'd forgotten he already had a ban, thought maybe if you didn't get the one game ban it impacted how many games you missed the second set.
This seems to be what's suggested in the article. Would take two of the other 3 centre backs to be injured for him to play, surely won't happen....there's also Christie (and presumably others) who could potentially play at centre back if that happens too.
