This isn’t just a striker that we’re missing but Delap is the only person who’s offered any sort of threat down the right wing this season. I would say it means we also need an extra winger coming in unless we can find another left footer who can play both positions well. We now really do have to offload some our our stacked central midfield to free up resources to strengthen where we actually are either very weak or very light.

Not sure how things will work out with Delap but imo I think the most important thing for us would be to maintain a good relationship with teams like Man City even if it meant honouring the agreement.
