I like the optimism mate. But for me it was a complete domination and I’m glad it wasn’t more than 3.

You’re correct that they didn’t have heaps of clear cut chances, but we conceded the goals because of the pressure they put on us. They wernt gifts out of nowhere, our players were put into uncomfortable situations they wasn’t good enough to deal with.

Our players are young and they will learn of course. But it’s also clear to see we need some decent investment if we are to make the premier league and compete in it.

Investment doesn’t mean chucking fortunes at big names. But I think using the 10mill Stewart money plus another 5 mill on a striker would be a good start.
Agree they dominated us. But they should really. Look at City v Huddersfield, city completely dominated and created their goals. First goal is pure luck. 9 times out of 10 that flies out for a corner or throw in when Ballard gets it. Second goal was a stupid turn. Say it’s the pressure, but trying that turn on the edge of your own box against Preston would be awful. Against the quality Newcastle have is criminal. And the third, I see a player oniy wanting a penalty, and a defender making it easy for him. They were absolutely toothless. Thought that at the game too. If they play like that on Saturday, they’ll get hammered

This is why I never have sympathy for the likes of Everton when people say 'Yes but it's the poor fans who suffer.'

The fans fckin lap it up when they're building fancy new stadiums, bringing in top class managers and marquee signings ...

... it's easy to run a football club from a chat forum when there are zero consequences.

Not a fan of Everton in any way shape or form

Are you not ashamed that people can't properly dry their hands mate, it's shameful tbh <doh>
I just wish that people could see the proper progression. I detest Chelski and the way they bought success. I am on the fence with Man City. I admire Leicester, and Southampton. I abhor Noocarsel (although they haven't won a proper trophy since before I was born), and every other club who have used money and nothing else to buy trophies. I admire what KLD is striving for and am proud to support it. Those who want a billionaire spending stupid amounts on bringing glory boys in is not what Im about.

Every word.

Apart from the Citeh bit, they're as bad as the mags.

According to a bloke on Twitter whose nephew was working behind one of the bars, the free beer had already been ordered and pulled, then the card readers went down and they couldn’t take payment for it. The Mags got a bit rowdy so they pulled the shutters down, called the police and that was it, a nothing story blown out of all proportion.

As you say, young people working for a minimum wage on the frontline need to be protected

Was this in one particular area of the stadium? I was with someone yesterday (lads fan) that had one of his mag mates what's app him saying "3 free beers" from the stadium, explained that the card readers had went down so were given some. Then sent a picture. Could've been a wind up though.

No idea John, it was just a tweet from someone on Twitter, but from what he tweeted, if your mate's mate had ordered three pints then the card reader went down he would get them free would he not?

Dear RAWA Member
We will be meeting with the Club again this month (date TBC) in what will be a very overdue Supporter Collective Meeting. Ahead of that meeting we want to hear from you about what you want us to raise and help shape how we approach it. If you would like to attend the online meeting of RAWA members on 11th January 6.30pm please register here. Before the meeting you will be emailed a link.

Of course one of the agenda items in the Club meeting will be the disgraceful way that SAFC handled the Wear Tyne Derby, which included the unthinkable - branding the Black Cats Bar in NUFC colours and imagery. Unfortunately the Club did not engage with any supporter group from the moment the fixture was announced. RAWA reached out to the Club when rumours of the increased allocation emerged. The Club said they would come back to us - they never did, so we took to social media to make all the points and ask questions that supporters were expressing to us directly and on various platforms. You can see some of the questions we asked here and the Clubs' response here.

When the photos were leaked of the preposterous rebranding of the Black Cats Bar RAWA issued the following statement.

"Whoever it is at SAFC that thinks rebrandning the Black Cats Bar fir NUFC fans should hang their heads in shame. How can they be so out of touch with their own supporters? Take them down now! We won't give up trying to engage with SAFC but it's proving harder to stomach with moves like this."

If you have strong thoughts on this or any other matters at SAFC please register for the meeting. As always we will take your issues, ideas and points to the Club.
Cheers

RAWA

They were in the champions league and have smashed psg this season mate. They are levels above us and would beat us 9 times out of 10 no matter how you dress it up.

The important thing is it showed our ownership and especially speakman the size of the gap. And investment is needed.

I suspect they already knew mate.

Everyone in football knows that clubs coming from the lower league upwards are generally behind the relegated PL clubs ...

... and they're way behind the top PL sides.

We can invest and keep investing but will never compete with an oil state ...

... all we'd be doing is spending in the hope of going up, not the guarantee.

More clubs will go under and others like Derby, Reading, Charlton aren't far off now ...

... they were all PL clubs and I don't think they have a ground between them.
