Very good post and I agree with all of it. The simple thing is, it isn't the same game anymore. It isn't 2 working class cities in the same leauge checking the fixture on the release date. It's isn't nerves an build up the week before. It isn't similar sets of players pitted against each other anymore, it just isn't the same anymore. In the build up, the mags at work were genuinely ****ting themselves. I've said before on this thread, every red and white I know wasn't bothered going into it and not one mag has said anything about the result. It's weird now. onto Ipswich.

Got told about this yesterday but didn't want to post incase it was a mag on a wind up. The whole weeks build up and day was just weird and odd. Red carpet and free ale.

According to a bloke on Twitter whose nephew was working behind one of the bars, the free beer had already been ordered and pulled, then the card readers went down and they couldn’t take payment for it. The Mags got a bit rowdy so they pulled the shutters down, called the police and that was it, a nothing story blown out of all proportion.

As you say, young people working for a minimum wage on the frontline need to be protected

Cheers for sharing, seen so many people slagging the club on social media - sounds like they are doing it again without knowing what had actually happened

It's always the case, without knowing the full facts. This past week as been nuts. Did folk kick off the same way when Donald was here?

Cheers Scout, I don't know the bloke on Twitter so it might be rubbish but it's worth noting that there is probably a simple and sensible explanation.

People are frustrated because we aren't signing loads of multimillion pound players.

Because they don't want to admit it they're grabbing any passing story and building it up into WW3 imo ...

... it's starting to look like it's building up into a grudge with some.

If the payment systems went down that will be recovered from the provider of those services.

This is a non issue and anyone trying to make it one can **** clean off.

You're absolutely right but I really don't understand their attitude. We've been down that road and it didn't work. Why haven't people got the patience to try this new approach?

This is why I never have sympathy for the likes of Everton when people say 'Yes but it's the poor fans who suffer.'

The fans fckin lap it up when they're building fancy new stadiums, bringing in top class managers and marquee signings ...

... it's easy to run a football club from a chat forum when there are zero consequences.

Having just seen the email from RAWA, it's going to just get worse. Bunch of arseholes using over the top inflammatory language is just going to destroy any chance of the fan base having a voice at all.

It's an anonymous forum mate, do me a favour and stop calling me by name, thanks.

    As for your point.

I didn't say anyone mentioned multimillion pound players. I said I believe some are taking out their frustration at our sustainability by attacking unrelated issues to an unreasonable degree.

Did we though? Cup allocations are always bigger than league ones. I've seen no concrete evidence that the club was complicit in the Black Cats Bar redecoration thing. And we gave out some free beer to keep them quiet.
