Ok, this morning I got a call back of a person of interest at Rangers.
He claims, Michael, eye he's OK, a good coach did well with Stevie G great at tactically with the boys, knows his stuff.

I personally met him once at a golf charity do through Coisty.
Only half an hour but he seemed OK.

Now earlier I said posted Beal ffs.
Now if my mate is right, and he does know his coaching then I'm gonna relax.

TBH Bob, that's been posted dozens of times already as common knowledge.

Fair enough mate.

I just feel that, since KLD arrived, the club has been transformed from top to bottom ... and that's ongoing.

Time will tell if I'm proved wrong.
This is what puzzles me. Everything since the new owners came in seems to have been planned and orderly. Suddenly a popular and, yes, successful head coach leaves without any explanation and we don’t have a replacement ready, willing and able (my apologies to Doris Day) to slot in. I feel as if someone fell asleep on duty. Also it looks like the club was taken by surprise just as much as everybody else at TMs sudden departure.

If Still and Hellberg were never linked, I wonder if everyone would still be as negative about Beale? If it was the same old names and Beale in there as an option.

Must admit I was very underwhelmed till today, but I'm trying to see it more pragmaticly today.

He's a young coach who's got tonnes of experience coaching young players. Just because we've heard of this guy, and he's been at a club (bit of a basket case) in our league, and Rangers who are playing second fiddle to Celtic (who were under Postecoglou) then we have decided already he's going to be gash.

I'm going to try and be positive, clean slate and see how he does with what's at his disposal at our club.

I think that's the main reason people have taken against Beale, there were some sexy names floating about that would have got us some positive attention and we've gone for someone more low key.

Added to which the modern buzzword style he has probably reminds people of Johnson as though it means he'll be no different.

Our form stunk mate, he was moaning about everything and we just lost at home to Huddersfield ...

... we were going backwards, which isn't the plan.

Both tiny clubs compared to us with revenue mate and both seemed to have a plan that worked.

It feels like we are making it up as we go along

You'd be surprised about the revenue mind mate. Attendances at matches in the PL account for about15% of income on average, or this was so a year or two ago.

On top of that, we charge less for entry than most London or Southern based clubs.

Having an extra twenty thousand or so might mean an extra three or four million a year. It's not significant up there.

True, the parachute payments can be a real help and act as a springboard if used wisely. Unfortunately, our state on relegation was so horrendous that it was all soaked up on seeing off massively overpriced ****ers and other attendant losses which flow from relegation.

We are trying from scratch essentially. It will not be a smooth, upward curve, but at least they are trying to do things responsibly and sustainably.

And, in all fairness, mostly, for most teams, the PL is a relentless, grinding effort to survive.

Why sack Mowbray then??? Theres none available we were struggling but sacking him for a lesser manager just because theres no better available is an amateurish way to run a club imo
If you believe the rumours there was unrest in the camp with TM which only has one outcome, how do we know Beale will be a lesser manager, yes he's got less experience but he's a young well respected coach, I don't think for one second if we sign him he wasn't on the clubs watch list.
If Still was the main target then I believe Dodds would be in charge till end of the season. I must admit I'm underwhelmed with Beale , to many comparisons will LJ is enough to put me off but he may be the one for us and we may be the team for him, I'll give him my full support even though I'm not sold on it yet.
However the way we are moving forward I don't think the club will just take an option because its cheap

As for BEEL, his team was lying third in a poor 2 horse race, with every pundit in Scotland taking the pure PISH out of him.

Pitchside, he was like a rabbit in the headlights, post match interviews & pressers were poor.

Of course this is my opinion, so pardon me if I’m not gushing over his potential appointment.

I think SAFC should be showing more ambition than BEEL.

TBF you're adamant in your opinion, which is admirable, so who would you like to see us appoint?

Back in the Prem where we belong in place of lesser teams like Burnley and Luton.
Our fans show the ambition by turning up so its about time the owners did
They finished above us in the league last year so just because we get 40000 per week doesn't mean we belong in the PL .
40000 does generate much more money over a season than 20000 does so unfortunately you don't get promoted for having the highest attendance of the season

Luton, for example ... under 10,000 average, a quarter of ours.

So what you're saying is that the club are bringing in a man who's respected by some of the top players for being a top coach looking to fill our head coach role?

Exactly, held in high regard by people who have been coached and worked with him.
Good references from a world cup winner in martinez and one of the best of his generation in Gerrard.

Might be a real good deal signing him for free too by our tight fisted owners
