Connolly left the stadium with his right foot in a protective boot, hopefully just a precaution

Just read in HDM that Sinik's back in Turkey for (1) language reasons and (2) to be settled to complete his rehab. Whatever all that means. Sounds to me like he just doesn't want to be here.
A move away asap will suit all parties
I wonder if we can transfer him to Anlaby Spire on a free?
They'd probably reject him. I think a scrap yard would probably be more suitable

I hope they've sent a team of medics out with Sinik to make sure he's comfortable with the surroundings and doesn't overdo it. He sounds like the football version of Jim Royle. My money's on we'll never see him again but at least we'll always have the memories.
Think it's been clear for a long time that it's not going to work out. People got their hopes up in the summer when he came back but he's never been a serious part of the squad. People forget that this time last year he was failing to make matchday squads while we were playing Docherty and Slater on the wings because of a lack of wingers.
Can he then be consigned to the list of 'WTF did we sign him for's'
There's obviously a player in there as we have seen glimpses of it, but some players just don't work in certain leagues etc. He obviously isn't suited to the UK and the English game..... Time to move on
Regardless, he's played well over a hundred times in the Turkish top flight and has both represented and scored for, the national team.
I agree he needs to go, as it's obviously not going to work out, but I do find it odd that he's flopped so badly for us.
He's never played outside of Turkey as far as I can see, sounds like he has little or no English. Plenty of reason for feeling a bit isolated or lonely or homesick or all of those things. Some people are just not cut out for that sort of life, maybe he's one of them. If this is the case it isn't surprising he's been duff on the pitch.
