What happens if Delap gets injured is we play with any combination of the others who've played regularly up front all season. Same as what happens if Connolly misses matches with this injury. Same as has happened with Tufan out the last few weeks. All of these players have their own particular qualities which are missed when they're unavailable, but unless we get about four of them injured at the same time, we'll be able to field a decent attack. The number of them who are out and out strikers in the old-fashioned sense is irrelevant to this team. We had 0 of those from the start on Saturday and scored two goals before half time.
We’ll agree to disagree mate, we definitely need an out and out attacker in our team in my opinion, hopefully you’re right and we can still get a few goals, which is what we all want.
We'd be very unlucky to lose Tufan, Connolly and Delap all at the same time, but if we were, at least we've got Philegene (last season it was Longman).
We've got Delap, Philogene and Allahyar that can play through the middle, gives our Iranian lad a chance to show he is ready and might open space for Sinik or Vaughan to come in to the side out wide. Connor Wickham is available on a free transfer if we needed somebody like that, as is Florian Kamberi and...Jozy Altidore....nah nah only kidding.
He was willing to drop down to Forest Green Rovers in League One and he signed a short term deal for Cardiff, I reckon he'd be decent as cover until Xmas. Even if it's just as a short term like for like for Liam Delap.
"We're trying," Rosenior told Hull Live when asked if Ozan could return to face Southampton. "The same thing happened with Allahyar last season and this is what I was really conscious of with Ozan because of how important he is, and what a great start he's had. I think it's gone under the radar a little bit how many injuries we've picked up in a short space of time, and it's something we're working really hard to correct. Ozan, bless him, was so desperate to get back that he pushed and pushed - we were the ones trying to tell him to take a little bit more time. “He wants to play for this club and be successful which I love. We have to make sure we get that balance right. What I really don't want to do with a player of his quality is lose him for two or three more months, I'd rather it take two more weeks and he comes back fully fit for the rest of the season, rather than force it with him because he is so important to our group.”
it's gone under the radar a little bit how many injuries we've picked up in a short space of time, and it's something we're working really hard to correct..... Tad concerning that we've been hearing this now for quite a few seasons, we had it under grant, shota and LR. It can't all just be bad luck
