It is making me wonder though like. Most of my mates thought it was bonkers I was optimistic for the season. They looked at our signings and said we had no chance as its just "football manager stuff".

Results are all that matters and its why after 2 losses its natural to start doubting and second guessing yourself, let alone the club.

Well, actually, without wanting to add too much defense, there's a big excuse. nobody could have planned for Stewart's injury, which has completely ****ed us. Either we'd have had one of the best strikers in the league, or we'd have sold one of the best strikers in the league, and had money to spend.

Instead we've got neither.

Agree. Speakman talks about progressive planning and scouring the market for everything including coaches.
