We have signed 2 strikers, 1 started yesterday
We have. We've signed 2 young lads who don't look/sound ready. We may as well have played with 10 men yesterday as Hemir was a passenger. It's not his fault, he should be introduced slowly to senior football, not just dumped in the team and expected to perform. It's not good enough

There has been multiple windows to get a quality centre forward in. We haven't. There comes a time where there is less waffle and more decisive action needed.

We need experience and Tone is starting to get significantly more downbeat in every interview he does.
There have been 2. And the second has still three weeks to go. We had two quality strikers this time last year and in January before Simms got recalled and Roscoe got crocked. Its frustrating but stop making out its worse than it is. We also have to remember it's a long old season and Stewart will be available in October. It's not won or lost in august

Agreed. He's starting to get worn down by the mañana mañana approach the club is taking - signing players for next season and the one after without addressing the here and now. It's very, very risky

It is 100%. That's why I have been consistent in saying the model needs to flex otherwise there will be no short term improvement at all. Spanish wide forward who is 18 is fine but he isn't a viable option. I don't like it when people now day he is the 3rd striker we have now. He isn't. Might be next year or so.

We haven't replaced Amad, Evans or Stewart with ready made replacements that will impact the here and now. That's the absolute reality. What is more annoying is that Tone and we as fans have seen this for ages, Evans and Steward major long term injuries,we haven't sorted it and the season has started.

As I said, less waffle, more action now as those positions are standout and it isn't a surprise, we knew we needed quality there. Had sufficient time to act.

Vital and I mean vital couple of weeks ahead. Ve interesting to watch Tone's attitude in any press engagement.

IMHO the window should be closed prior to start of season. Lot's of teams will look completely different when it does shut in three weeks or whatever. Clubs are still sussing out their best eleven weeks after it's slammed shut, only for the window to re-open another seven or eight weeks later, and away you go again.
Agreed. it's doesn't help one bit. Apparently the Saudi window is open for a month after ours does. That isn't helpful at all....

So your judging a player on 1 game? Ekwah didnt look ready for 1st team football last season then after 2 months it clicked n he looked a beast, why can that not happen with hemir?

Mate we played Danny Ballard as a striker yday. What more evidence to you need?

Positive starts are vital to build confidence.

Think Mowbray knows this is his last chance at a promotion job, or a big club like us and can see the potential. He has a right to get ticked off, and has to ask the question of why won't they back him here and now. He'll be the one that pays the price... thought the changes he made yesterday were wild mind.

That is spot on. The delay in saving money will cost points and look what say 6 more points would have got us. If we’re serious about going up this year this delay is an error.

Agreed. I've flipped 180 on this issue and the trigger was watching us play with Ballard up front yesterday. I fuly appreciate the window is still open and will reserve judgement until then, but we cannot afford a slow start this season and the club needs to act now. Hopefully the Lihadji money will expedite things

All teams chasing an equaliser throw a cb upfront

Not for long periods. They usually bring on a different striking option. We don't have that so had no alternative. That's what Tone is getting at in all his press conferences. It's starting to do him in.

So again youvr judge after 1 game hes not ready? Need to give players time to see if they are ready or not - not after 60 mins of football
He wasn’t ready to start and lead the line yesterday. That’s not saying he’ll be a bad buy. We need a 9 that is ready and is genuine competition for Stewart

You're a scout !!... Stevie Wonder could see the kid is not ready for 1st team action yet. I cannot believe he was bought with the view to thrust him in straight away. He lacked so much you would expect from a centre forward, but yes, the kid may well come good, I certainly am not judging him on one game, but I am judging our recruitment team for not helping TM start the season with a striker who is ready to go.

We can't afford to wait 2 months. That's the point I'm making - Hemir might well end up a 25 goals per season striker, but he isn't ready
