Agreed, but in a competitive league we can't afford to start slowly. A lack of options up front cost us 3 pts yesterday. Preston won't be easy on Sat either.
we didn't creat anyhing, even if you had drogba up front yesterday he wouldnt of scored

clarke and roberts were shocking for 90% of the game, half the time the couldn't even beat the first man from a corner,

We missed an open goal yesterday. It was a tough chance but a chance all the same. Neil should have headed the chance he got at the end

Agree re the set pieces, and that is another concern

Agree. Our set piece delivery and our crossing from wide positions is very poor.

TM has done that with lots of players, it takes the pressure of the lad. If he played well yesterday n acored you wouldnt be saying hes not ready, its as simple as that. Fair enough he didnt but its 1 game therefore im not judging him on one game

Exactly recruitment isnt easy but the way some of you are going on it should be really easy.

The club 1 scout for has sold 15 million pounds worth of players, play in europe but yet still havent been able to replace the 2 lads that left. We have spoken to so many clubs, agents n players but nothing has fallen for us - its not through a lack of trying or planning, its just tye transfer market. Its tough

As you say....he didn't...that is as simple as that. If you read my very first post on the match yesterday, I was actually impressed with out play in the first half, the one touch football was great to see, If we had someone who the nous and vision (like a seasoned striker) that game would have been won. Too many ifs and buts...as the saying goes, if my auntie had bollocks she's be my uncle

Are we not allowed to be concerned? Are we not allowed to be frustrated by yesterday? Signing strikers is hard, but it also seems to be a weakness in our recruitment team. Just because there are 3 weeks left in the window, it doesn't guarantee we will sign the players we need. There is no harm at all in showing concern that is fact -based
I never said you cant be concerned or anything like that. Im always concerned until players are actually signed.

My point, n others, is that the window isn't closed yet so thats when we know whether to be worried, concerned, excited, happy etc. Not after 1 game

As i said if we won yesterday this conversation wouldnt be happening to the level it is today

that's fell to a attacking midfielder it's didn't fall to are striker, and let's be honest even if it fell to a striker it's still not guaranteed to have still went in, yesterday had nothing to do with the striker problem

If a fully fit Ross Stewart was up front yesterday, We would have won that...Clarke and Roberts would have delivered

Yeah, you are probably right - what happens on the pitch always dictates what is spoken about and it masks a multitude of problems. However we all saw the difficulties we had last season with no strikers and we don't want a repeat, but as it stands (and the way the Manager is talking) suggests it's going to be more of the same. I really hope I'm wrong and am made to look silly when Hemir scores a hat trick at Deepdale and we sign 2 experienced strikers the next day, but as it stands I have massive concerns

You said we didn't create chances, I mentioned 2 that we created in addition to the goal. Doesn't matter who they fall to, that wasn't what we were talking about.

Correct, but if we have the same squad v Preston, Rotherham and Coventry are you confident in getting any points?

I'm generally an optimistic person, and I like the talent I see on the pitch. There are two areas of concern, which I'm sure will be addressed. I'm not frightened of any of the teams you mention....apart from I just know Ellis Simms is going to get one against us!!<doh> :emoticon-0102-bigsm
Having said that....if we don't get any points from those games,I will agree with you that it will be a very slow start!
