    Christ, there’s so many.

I’d say for fee and expectation, it has to be Jack Rodwell.

Didier Ndong comes a very close 2nd though.

My mate calls him a pound shop Bruce Springsteen and reckons that's over priced.

I love music, I listen to all types and artists, but for the life of me I can't name anything he's done or remember any of his songs. It just seems hype because he's from Tyneside and I'd not be surprised if he fades back in the future

Ricky Alvarez for me. Total fees eclipsed N'dong.

I like him a lot. Better than 99% of the music released these days. Being a pound shop Bruce Springsteen is still pretty decent to be fair. He is 'the boss' after all.

The way people talk about him he's astounding and unique, I don't believe so.

To me that's music that has me scrambling for the TV remote, to hit record, or pulling the car over and turning the radio up on first hearing it ...

... I've done that with loads of acts from Nirvana to Dire Straits to Kings of Leon, etc.

What Sam Fender does is competent and professional but won't last the test of time imo.

It was impossible to take it in at first with the drums all over the place and vocals your ears couldn't quite grasp ...

... I'd thought that everything that guitar bands could do had already been done.

    Wrong.

You're not wrong there, Youth and Young Manhood is a superb debut album and the follow up Aha Shake Heartbreak was even better.

New albums aren't as good but in their defence they set a hell of a standard to try and keep up!

Yeah, his voice was tremendous on the early stuff, I was googling the lyrics to check I'd heard them right with them being from the South of America.
I will transfer to the music thread. <cheers>

Aha Shake Heartbreak's probably my favourite album ever. As you say it was downhill after that but only very gradually and loads of great tracks and albums afterwards.
