I was at that game too, and although it was a day to celebrate it has also tainted my memory of Plymouth. As we were coming out of the ground a Plymouth moron decided to throw a lump of concrete into the crowd. It hit a young girl standing next to me on the side of her face. I'm convinced that if it had hit her full on the head she would have been killed. Her injuries were slight but she went into shock. The last I saw of her was her father taking her off for medical attention and I can only assume she was ok.
Unfortunately, that is my abiding memory of Home Park and I always think of her when Plymouth is mentioned. I'm sure it was a one-off event as I have never heard of anything else about hooliganism from there.

All the above is a pity because Plymouth is a good day out.
That is horrendous.

Not nice at all. I'm sure she must have been okay, though no doubt scared otherwise we'd have heard it in the news. Horrible nonetheless, though definitely sounds like a one-off moron fan rather than standard behaviour from Plymouth fans. The ones I met that day were all really nice people, happy for us to be getting promoted despite their issues as a club at the time.

I was at that game, some saints fans managed to get in the home end. We relegated them and it was kicking off everywhere.

I remember being in the away end and seeing all the Saints fans in the home end celebrating with the rest of us and the team after the game. I don't remember the trouble, but then again I can be quite oblivious. Shame if there was, but can't blame the Plymouth fans for that if there were Saints fans in the home end giving it some. Particularly with emotions running high for them getting relegated to League 2 and the uncertainty about their future as a club at the time.

I'm not blaming them at all. I can just remember there being more than one isolated incident.

Remember seeing the aftermath of that incident at Plymouth. Luckily for us we were too busy soaking in the celebrations and were one of the last to leave the ground.
There were a few saints fans who made themselves known in the away end and that causes some trouble. I don’t think they were gloating over Plymouth, more happy for saints, but football fans are football fans.

I'm keeping my mouth firmly shut about players staying until the transfer window closes!

Can we also agree that don't mention phrases before the games things like

"He is useless, he'll never score against us"
"I don't rate <insert_opposition player/manager>"

In game:

"We've got this"
"There is no way we can throw this away now"

<laugh>

Just been looking at fixtures and I don't think I can make any game until the Leicester one in mid September :(
