Normally a buyback clause is just a set fee and first refusal, the player can still turn the move down

To be honest we don't know either way. Hopefully it is down to the player but WorkyTicketFTM makes a good point, even if it's one we don't want to be true!

I won’t say it too loud but I’d take Hayden from up the road as a CM, ticks every box for us and a decent player.

Always injured too so fits straight in…
Hayden never shied away from a hazardous challenge when Yedlin was there. I'd imagine those injuries, like Cirkin's, stemmed from courage rather than frailty.

Yeah very much so. He is the type of player we need but I know from a pal who knows the lad he wanted away back south last summer so non starter anyway.

I’ve heard we may have spoken to Burnley re Twine. Not a source that gets much info so likely not the case, ha.

Cesare Casadei is attracting the interest of 3 Championship clubs apparently. I'd like to hope we're one of them. I think he has a break out season in him at this level next season.
The boy is class, only watched highlights from his time at reading but didnt look out of place at all. That was in a poor team as well that didnt play to his strengths like we would

My issue with the buy back clause is that they could do a deal to bring him back and sell him on at huge profit to a club he is happy joining. They could off him a hefty lump of their profit to sweeten the deal too. Its happened before - I think perhaps we did when we signed on of the German lads.

And that’s exactly the kind of thing Levy would do

I have never heard of a buy back clause where the player doesn't get a choice if he wants to go or not.

He can't be forced back but if he or the club decide to move him on within his initial contract which in this case I believe was an initial three years Spurs would get first refusal at the initial agreed buy back price. If club or player do not wish to move and the set time frame runs out the it makes no difference (Spurs can only force the buy back Cirkin or the club were looking for a transfer and it looks in this case that neither of these are happening)

Cirkin will have the choice, Spurs just have an agreed fee - up to Cirkin if he goes or not (If Spurs bid for him).

Do Spurs get the balance if another club bids more? Like if Spurs bid their agreed to 6, but Aston Villa bids 20? In that case we would be hoping he picks Villa (?)
