You mean Cleopatra, who was of Greek descent, was not black?What next? A black wife of Henry Vlll? Surely not!

No. Will stick with David Lean’s version. Saw something in Blue Lights I have never seen, a black female police officer in Northern Ireland. According to Father Brown the Cotswold villages in the 1950s were full of BAMEs. Something I have never seen supported by photos and film of the time. Been on holiday in Northumberland 3 times. Never seen a black or Asian police officer there but you wouldn’t think that was the case watching Vera.

I doubt the Costswolds were full of BAME's in the 50's, but there's definitely black female police officers in Northern Ireland and black and Asian police in Northumbria Police.
I have never seen any. I stayed where a lot of Vera is filmed. Mind you, only saw a couple of police in 3 visits and they were hideously white as they say.
Been watching Fauda. Stretches your incredulity a bit but enjoyed binge watching it.
Watched the film swimmers last night. Gives you a good idea what it was like to be a refugee 2014 trying to cross open waters. Frightening thought. Very good film to boot.
Watched the film Lucy on ITV last night, Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman star in the story of a woman who accidentally ingests a psychedelic drug and massively increases her brain capacity (basically she turns into superwoman). It gets very bizarre at the end, but overall it was a decent watch.
Also watched The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die, which was also a decent watch. The story of a Dane King's aim of uniting England, some of the big fight scenes were a bit messy (both literally and metaphorically), but overall it was pretty good, particularly the star Alexander Dreymon.

Its basically the sequel
One of the best historical series ever, very accurate with a couple of minor quibles like moving the historical Uhtred back in time to fit the story, otherwise some nice little touches in the series like the Historical Viking character Heaston who in real life did actaully settle down after the raping and pillaging. Fantastic large range of characters, all with strong roles, nothing woke about it which is a bonus these days, already watched the series twice and will rewatch it again in the future.
Yeah. Kind of put you in their shoes. We have first world problems.
