Well I am glad when the board was held up for 5 mins remaining, I shut my laptop, turned off the stream on TV and went to the kitchen to make dinner.

Listened to a nice bit of Pavarotti whilst cooking (that may I add made me smile more as due to my new automation followed me around the house as I went upstairs to get something), nice aromas in the kitchen and now just come back to the board to confirm our 1-0 loss. I am a lot calmer than I would have been.

We were lacklustre I would say. Maybe believed our own **** from last week. We are not down yet, but the chances are we will be.

I have been accused of being a possie rather than a neggie. Maybe I am - but maybe I just don't totally lose my **** when we lose. It is after all just a game of football.

Saturday night now, got a couple of films lined up with mrs no7. Life isn't that bad

Is one of the films The Great Escape ?

I know you are pissed off mate and you have every right to be but going out of the Premiership (If it happens) is not the end of the world. It may give us a chance to rebuild and get rid of the dead wood. As I said a few weeks ago I am just grateful to still have a club to support. Don't get too wound up mate life is way too short.

Sorry Marv, but I remember all too well the Championship years the first time we went down. We will lose our decent players (bye Lavia and JWP <wah>) and be stuck with absolute dross still stealing a living. We'll still be trying to talk ourselves round that Elyounoussi will storm this league as it's his level when we're 2-0 down at home to bloody Millwall on a Tuesday night in December. We wont get rid of the dead wood, but we will get rid of the solid oak timbers. But at least we'll have Bree as captain or something.

The Championship will be an absolute disaster for the club. All the work of Nigel, Poch and Koeman pissed away on some arseholes vanity project. :emoticon-0183-swear

That's where you're wrong. I'm not in position to speak for others but I'm 99% certain that no Saints fan wants us to lose in order to be right. That's pure bollocks. We all want the team to win, hell we're Saints fans most of us will just be happy with a battling effort.

Relegation is not far from a mathematical certainty at all. We're down. The team knows it, the manager knows it and the fans sure as **** know it.

You're positive attitude did sweet FA today and it will do sweet FA next week, and when we are confirmed as down (in April) will you continue to wear your most loyal and dedicated supporter crown believing you're better than us mere mortals, or will you finally admit that the SR era is nothing but an absolute disaster?
My positive attitude along with the team's got us three points at Chelsea and will get more before the end of the season. Enough to keep us up? I hope so and will continue to enjoy the positives that are there.

Thinking positively, Elyounoussi is out of contract in the summer, so with any luck it'll be bye bye. Knowing saints, he'll end up with a new 5 year contract on reduced wages.

You don’t know if that any of that will happen though. You’re basing that prediction entirely on what happened in 2005, with a completely different board in charge. Your hatred of Sport Republic is completely irrational, although I do agree that Rasmus Ankersen shouldn’t be allowed to make any football-related decisions again.

If/when we go down we will come straight back. The only negative of a good season I the Championship is that you have to go back to the ****ty PL as a “prize”

I really hope JWP breaks the record this season. Don't think i could take seeing him doing it for another club.
Oooh shiite, why did you say that! :-( Never gave it a thought; probably because before today, I really thought we had a good chance of staying up but that abject, lacklustre, zero thrust performance has settled that for me. Jeez, yes hope with everything ive got left, he equals & then beats it this season :emoticon-0148-yes:

Why on earth do you think that we will come straight back up?

Because virtually every team who goes down does. This isn’t 2005 anymore, in the last 5 years 15 teams have gone down 11 of them came back within 2 years (one of the ones who didn’t was Sheff U who look like they are coming back this year, so still within 2 years). The TV deal has meant that we will just be so much wealthier than 90% of the league that it is almost a challenge not to come back, I’m sure we’ll give it a go though
