Sorry Marv, but I remember all too well the Championship years the first time we went down. We will lose our decent players (bye Lavia and JWP ) and be stuck with absolute dross still stealing a living. We'll still be trying to talk ourselves round that Elyounoussi will storm this league as it's his level when we're 2-0 down at home to bloody Millwall on a Tuesday night in December. We wont get rid of the dead wood, but we will get rid of the solid oak timbers. But at least we'll have Bree as captain or something. The Championship will be an absolute disaster for the club. All the work of Nigel, Poch and Koeman pissed away on some arseholes vanity project.
My positive attitude along with the team's got us three points at Chelsea and will get more before the end of the season. Enough to keep us up? I hope so and will continue to enjoy the positives that are there.
Thinking positively, Elyounoussi is out of contract in the summer, so with any luck it'll be bye bye. Knowing saints, he'll end up with a new 5 year contract on reduced wages.
I really hope JWP breaks the record this season. Don't think i could take seeing him doing it for another club.
You don’t know if that any of that will happen though. You’re basing that prediction entirely on what happened in 2005, with a completely different board in charge. Your hatred of Sport Republic is completely irrational, although I do agree that Rasmus Ankersen shouldn’t be allowed to make any football-related decisions again.
If/when we go down we will come straight back. The only negative of a good season I the Championship is that you have to go back to the ****ty PL as a “prize”
Oooh shiite, why did you say that! :-( Never gave it a thought; probably because before today, I really thought we had a good chance of staying up but that abject, lacklustre, zero thrust performance has settled that for me. Jeez, yes hope with everything ive got left, he equals & then beats it this season
433. Tall Paul, Sule and Edozie up top and on the wings. Lavia, Alcaraz and JWP in midfield. This manager **** is easy
Because virtually every team who goes down does. This isn’t 2005 anymore, in the last 5 years 15 teams have gone down 11 of them came back within 2 years (one of the ones who didn’t was Sheff U who look like they are coming back this year, so still within 2 years). The TV deal has meant that we will just be so much wealthier than 90% of the league that it is almost a challenge not to come back, I’m sure we’ll give it a go though
Well yes at some point in the future be that 7,8 or 50 years I would expect us to be back in the Prem. Which is very different then coming straight back up.
Stopped at services for dinner. Pretty much resigned to going down now. I can stomach losing when we've had a go. Today was pitiful and everyone bar Lavia and perhaps JWP let the fans down. Not even pissed off as it's happened far, far too often. Sad.
