To be fair, Tan said more that he was expecting it to be done as long as nothing last minute happened - the player has basically chosen us but still had to do the deal. Rosie confirmed that but possibly hadn't heard Tan's caveat before he responded to the question post match.

Fair enough, good to see it's all done now then (although they also seem to just be quoting Rosenior). Hopefully we don't take as long to announce things this window! Would be fun to see him get a run out against Fulham or Hudd.
Hopefully it doesn't turn into one of those that drags on and whimpers into nothing. Having him in for Fulham would be really positive
If Tufan hasn’t downed tools then why the duck isn’t he playing and why the **** is he leaving after 6 months either on a loan or potentially at a loss? You simply do not get a player like him, if his class, at that age, in this division. It would be a huge, huge, huge opportunity missed.
How many times has he shown “his class”. Burnley away he was the best player on the pitch, aside from that he’s been best used as an impact sub.
I thought Tufan was really good against Norwich too, think he played centre mid that day. But he's not done much for a while and it doesn't seem like he fits into Rosenior's thinking. Shame if we can't make it work but as long as we're not taking a financial hit I think it's fair enough.
Scored the equaliser against Sunderland, but as NT says, that seems his best role for us - off the bench.
None of our 3 managers have played him in his natural position. His quality isnt in doubt hence playing him forward in less critical areas but I don't think anyone would seriously advocate putting him next to Seri. He can earn his coin as an impact sub here or we get the lions share or our investment back, but we have to replace our 2nd top scorer/impact sub in the process or it wont be worthwhile.
Without a doubt his ability to score from midfield needs replacing. First midfielder we’ve had since Diame with the goal scoring quality from midfield
He's scored one more than Slater and that was a penalty, I don't think there needs to be too much focus on his goal contributions. We need our forwards contributing more, outside of Oscar, Smith has our second most and only because of his brace on the weekend. Longman, Ally, and Tetteh all need to step up.
It’s more the manner of his goals. Slater scored a deflection against Blackpool. Tufan has genuine quality in the final third. Slater not so much. We don’t have another midfielder capable of scoring that goal he did against Burnley, something we didn’t see enough of. That Burnley performance from Tufan is up there for performance of the season from a single player for us considering the level of opposition too.
Agree to disagree on Slater, I think he has a lot of quality. Even his movement and cross for Smith was top class.
Oh I agree. But in the final third? Not really. He had plenty of time in an advanced role and doesn’t have much to show for it.
