Struggling to tell with the translations but Tufan to Besiktas looks like it will initially be a loan, with either an option to buy or a mandatory buy clause. If it's the former and he isn't a success, I worry we'll never recoup our money.

I wouldnt massively be bothered if he didnt leave or did come back after a loan spell. He's still our second top scorer.

Recouped fee £20k wages off the wage bill every week. Not the end of the world imo from a consistency stand point. How many times has he put in a performance where you’ve genuinely believed he’s a level above the opposition which he supposedly is meant to be. Burnley away the only one that springs to mind for me.
As long as they are paying all his wage

Ozan Tufan, Beşiktaş'a gelmeyi kabul etti. Siyah-Beyazlılar, Ozan'ı kiralamaya ilk etapta olumsuz yanıt veren Hull City'ye yeni bir teklifte bulunacak. Hull City'nin bonservis beklentisi 3 milyon Euro. Ancak ara bir formülle transferin bitirilmesi planlanıyor.

Ozan Tufan agreed to come to Beşiktaş. The Black-Whites will make a new offer to Hull City, which initially gave a negative response to hiring Ozan. Hull City's testimonial expectation is 3 million Euros. However, it is planned to complete the transfer with an intermediate formula.

Very good player but I don't think he suits English football and then it's how to do we fit him in without being completely overrun in midfield. It's a shame but getting his wages off the wage bill and the fee recouped too is good business.

I think that’s a bit harsh on a, near enough, 1 in 2 striker in a bottom half team.
Its amazes me all this criticism of Óscar. The only player we have that consistently can put that round thing in the back of the net. Maybe we should have kept Forss instead?

Seem to remember Hernandez getting his fair share of stick. Now he's the benchmark.

It is the way things are.

Big Billy, well he was an upgrade further on the physicality side of things, when that kind of football was allowed

There was one game ( I think it was against Bury - or it might have been Leyton Orient - at home) where Billy had been knocking their centre halves around all afternoon. We were 1-0 up with about 5 minutes left. Tony Norman booted the ball upfield and the two centre halves parted like the red sea to let Billy have a clear run on goal - he duly smashed it home and we won 2-0.
We went up that season from the old Div. 4 (League 2 as it is now)

I think Oscar would already have 20 if he had Robertson, Moses, Snodgrass, prime Hudds putting in balls for him.

Oscar has had Slater, Longman, Coyle, Christie

This is why I didn't understand the "Hernandez would have more goals than Oscar in this team" comment when Oscar is on pace to match Hernandez's goal tally when the latter was in a far superior side. Suggests Oscar has a bit about him..

A loan with option makes more sense from an FFP point of view if we're preparing to sell him at a loss. If we sell him at a loss this month then it makes our FFP position worse, not better.

If the Ozan thing is true, I for one wish him well. I dont think he ever shirked it here. There were times that he stood out like a sore thumb quality wise. What I do know is that you just cannot not replace him unless Traore is seen as that person.
Agree. Seen many a foreign player get disheartened and give up but never got that impression with him. Always seemed to appreciate the fans as well
