What I don’t understand is the reluctance to go back to the back 5/6 that we had last season that served us well.

Baxter, McLoughlin, Greaves, Jones and Longman are all available from it. Only change would be Elder in for Fleming.

Seri, like Tufan, is very good on the ball.

However, off the ball, it’s like playing with 9 men. This could sorta be mitigated by having a physical ball-winner who constantly sits deep and protects the back four, but we don’t have that so the current midfield need to work much harder off the ball.

We really can’t afford to have two luxury players in midfield who don’t do anything when not in possession.

that’s what does my head in, why is it acceptable for seri and Tufan to half arse their defensive duties because they’re more talented on the ball. Would be on the bench for me until they learn to pull their weight defensively, particularly seri.

Called out Seri on our last podcast, I do think there's some 'undroppable' players in the squad.

Noticed it with seri last couple of games, he’s talented on the ball so seems to escape criticism but some of the tracking back from him, and slater as well, was awful when watching the Swansea game back. Would drop them both for next game.
