Friday week will arrive like a train for shota and the games will come twice a week. Its the players who need to step up, not just him. Have they got that pride. I think we might need to rely on the home grown players for that. Will be an exciting bench as long as they don't get on the pitch
He was going as soon as a replacement was found, looks like it happened sooner then expected, which has to be a positive as they get longer before Luton with the squad.
Would sacking Shota with the resulting pay off, plus any back room staff that go impact on FFP? Could be that hiring another manger already in a job may be a no go?
No as I’m pretty sure staff wages doesn’t contribute to it. Happy to be proven wrong though, as I seem to remember it’s how Derby got around signing Ashley Cole and Wayne Rooney on sizeable wages, put them in as coaches/players
I always find this argument pointless. Obviously it is entirely down to the players to get results on the pitch, but it is also entirely the responsibility of the manager to get them to do that, and if they aren't doing it, then he's failing. Obviously there are sometimes extenuating circumstances like injuries or available funds, but the "is it the players or the manager" debate is missing the point.
Have to say, announcing via Baz that he's been given time and then sacking him a few days later would seem a bit haphazard.
Are we certain the source of the new news today is a good one? Not just rehashing Baz’s knee jerk reaction that ‘he’s going’ which he then went back on.
Maybe not if things took a turn yesterday or today maybe Shota decided best he goes and told them dunno.
Has there been any kind of official word though or just "the daily mail understands".... Maybe Shota has decided to leave or perhaps some sort of amicable mutual agreement after further talks?
