Teams will always strengthen anyway whether it is him or not, we knew days ago the deal was off and they have taken steps to move onwards we maybe better off.
When that club is a giant, they don't. Halil is different. He's got 2 years left on his deal but been constantly farmed out by Brentford and never been given a chance. It would be logical that he would want out permanently. We obviously can't sign them permanently for FFP reasons though

We could still trigger the option, but there's no guarantees a player would agree terms. Suspect if a PL club indicated a loanee with an option would play if he came back, it would make agreeing terms with the player more difficult. Depends on the player really.
