Estupinan scored 15 in 28 in the 6th best league, not Tetteh. Tetteh looked strong when he came on at peterboro. Maybe he's been pumping in the gym all summer?
I know that, I just expect him to be first choice I just worded it wrong. People saying we need to sign a new rb to replace him are going to be disappointed because you don’t make someone a captain then stick him on the bench.
Only way someone is really replaced at a club is if they leave and we sign someone else. It's a squad game.
Aren’t club captains normally picked by the rest of the players? I think it’s brilliant that our Captain and Vice Captain are both Hull lads.
Ah ok my bad, it is possible that Estupinian did well in Portugal, as I said on my post I based it all on Turkish market. About Tetteh I also wrote that he build muscles lately in upper body, he might be working out in summer too, possible.
2 players fighting for 1 position would be considered normal in most squads. A lot of the Coyle bashing comes from the fact that Emmanuel started more positively as an attacking threat down that flank when they both signed and Lewie had to wait for his chance. I can't imagine we won't have competition for his position by the end of the window. After that it will come down to form, club captain or not. Club captain is the one who collects fines and influences the dressing room. We've had situations in the past where club captain isn't the automatic starter in his position, it's not uncommon.
Even someone on loan to challenge Coyle would be ideal. Don’t need to splash millions on a new right-back. I’m just not convinced Emmanuel will be fit enough to actually be a viable option this year.
I work with a mad Grimsby fan, he said GTFC were really keen to get Andy Smith back on a season long loan after his performances in the promotion push last season.
Acun flew in Budapest this afternoon, maybe he is trying to get in a new centre half? Hopefully he hasn't popped into have a to a chat with Viktor Orban.
The Portuguese Premier League where Oscar scored 15 is the 6th best league. Tetteh’s data clearly shows he is much more than just goals as well.
I have high hopes for these strikers, as I’m sure everyone else does too. Has to be better than Eaves/Forss. I just hope we can get the ball to them often enough and we don’t always try to play it safe. I know I should move on from Honeyman, but while he perhaps didn’t have Premier League quality, at least he was daring and always looked to go forward. Who will do that in the centre of the pitch now? Damn, I’m being negative again. I guess as it’s getting closer to match day, the nerves are creeping in. The other part of me says the atmosphere will be so good on Saturday, the players will have no choice but to attack. Yep, I’m now going with 5 - 0. Up The Tigers!
Yeah that’s what’s lacking more than anything from the pre season friendlies. Someone willing to beat a man and play forward. The midfield too often against Pboro and Leicester would turn and play backwards if they were faced with an opposition player
