Archie Gemmill was indeed a great player. Another great shortarse was Jimmy Johnstone who ripped TWS apart in the European Cup
He's definitely a lot better than he was, he got through 90 at the weekend. However, he's definitely the type of player to completely coast through a friendly. I've seen a few Turks mention his fitness, when he's actually fit, so when he gets to those levels, he'll be a top signing for us. We know what type of person he is, and that he's going to need a lot of protecting and tonnes of positivity and that's often more than half the battle.
Looking at Bristol City's midfield, they only have one CM that's 6ft and that's Andy King. They do have Alex Scott though, I was rather hoping he would be gone before we played them.
Surely you must see that your stance here also lacks nuance? You're making it very black and white, that every team must have a tall player in the base of their midfield. Obviously many teams will, but to make out that it's an absolute necessity seems too simplistic for me. Seri played that position in a team which won the league last season and we really had to push the boat out to get him, it seems a bit nuts to now be focussing so much on his perceived weakness before he's even played a league game.
His perceived weakness will be highlighted more without sufficient protection. Fulham could afford that luxury because of the rest of the squad. We need to be in a position to do so, size doesn’t have to just be height, Doc for example runs through people which is why he’s a better option at present than Tufan
Two Premier League players hopefully incoming, one permanent to replace Honeyman and one defensive on loan. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...ews/hull-city-plotting-premier-league-7378484
Not necessarily. You know what it's like when all the mums and dads are watching from the sideline together.
