Sinik, Tetteh, Allahyar, Longman, Scott would all be able to play left of a front 3. Allahyar, Longman Sinik, Wilks, Williams, Scott could all play right of a front 3. Unless we're shifting some out then can we really carry another winger/wide forward?
I'd settle for him as wing back cover, but really wouldn't want him starting. I'd go as far to say the wing backs are the most important position when playing 5/3 at the back and it's currently where we are weakest.
I was hoping Wilks and Scott would be gone, maybe even Williams. I know it's pre season but I think if Williams was in our plans he would've got more than 30 mins last night.
I wouldn't read much into that, Baxter and Tufan only got 45. It's about minutes and fitness at this stage. That was the first time Shota had seen him play.
I just think he would've come on at HT if he was in our first team plans. The other players who came on at 60 were Cannon and Smith (who we want rid off) and a load of kids.
Shouldn't matter if that is his preferred choice of interior automotive decor. It's 2022 FFS, and he's just made himself a millionaire.
In some ways it was a bit disappointing that we didn't take more young kids to the game and instead wasted gametime on players that have no future with us. I was really impressed with Covil, he looked so good for somebody his age and Mills and Smith did really well too. Callum Jones seems to have completely slipped down the pecking order though as he wasn't in the squad and it's a shame as he looked so promising during our L1 season. No Snelgrove, Jarvis or Hinds either which was a surprise
Snelgrove injured, Hinds has really stalled, Covil preferred to Jarvis. Think a few of them are off out to Marbs though.
Figs/Seri might be good shouts having won promotion last year. Ali as having that x factor. If the lad wants to go and won't sign a contract, then you've just got to get the best fee possible and wish him all the best.
I don't think anyone was consistent enough last year to be the 'main man'. You've got Greaves, Honeymon, Baxter, Fleming and even Longman depending on which period you're taking in isolation.
Seri, greaves and depending on who they end up being, I'd say the one of the two new cf's will also be above KLP in importance. Last season of say honeyman was more important, just look at the difference in the team when he came back from injury. The money we have got upfront is a fantastic amount for KLP and the add on's just make it an even better deal for us. Good luck to the lad and financially it's a great move for him, career wise I think he'll soon realise another season with us would have been the better option
You think someone who has drunkenly ranted about the club is in the starting side for our showpiece pre-season friendly?
