After listening to the interview Burnsy made a right mess. He didn't know who Traore played for and Shota was saying Hatayspor and Burnsy said no.

 

Baz seems to reckon there's something in it but says it ain't done yet.

 

The guy who announced it said the Allahyar deal was done before the takeover im pretty sure. Baz wont know more then him, I’m sure.

 

He's been real reliable so far. If he's saying it's done then it will be or at least almost

 

We are apparently very interested in Britt Assombalonga who’s currently playing for Demirspor in Turkey. He’s still only 29 and is scoring a few.

Fits the bill of what acun wanted. He’d want silly money though I imagine but would be a welcomed signing I think most would agree on.

 

That would be a very good signing if the finances were right. He cost Forest £15m at one point.

 

Adana Demirspor have an interesting squad for a mid-table Turkish side. Mario Balotelli up front, Assombalonga on the bench with ex Chelsea striker Loic Remy and the Turkish 'Messi' Erhun Oztumer who played for a few league 1 clubs inc Peterborough and Charlton.

 

That reporter broke the news that Shota was joining us so seems quite reputable. Shota probably just not commenting on transfers while the season is still going.

He got double figures from the 16/17 season to the 19/20 season. Only 5 in his last season. Wouldn’t be my first choice as I think he’d want silly money

Very few managers confirm interest until the ink is dry on the contract. As with everything there are exceptions, but it's often from sources linked to the board as opposed to manager/coach when an interest is confirmed - that or its all but done. It just seems fairly standard practice to deny it until its actually done.

I suspect asking Burnsy who he played for was Shota using his sense of mischief to deflect the question, making use of the fact there seem to be about 20 Adama Traore's. Either way, he didn't rule it out.

It's US dollars, so not like it's real money. I think they had Big Bird, Elmo and Bert an Ernie on the $1, $5 and $10 notes respectively last year and I'm sure I read that the guy who presented Jeopardy, Alex Trebeck, is due to feature on the $100 bill now he's carked it.
