No up to date quotes in the article and nothing new in it either, just twisted what he said mid weeks, poor from WilsonScott Wilson saying it’s Johnson’s reluctance about Defoe.

Don’t start me off about Gooch who continues to frustrate me as he has never fulfilled his potential and a short while ago I said I could see him losing his place in the side , with the signing of Roberts I think the time is nigh .Dont forget we have Broadhead to return yet aswell. We also have Embleton, Dajaku and dare i say Gooch aswell (if its one of his good days).
Not many league 1 clubs will cope with that much attacking talent.
Think I said earlier when we were first in for him my Partick Thistle supporting mate texted to say "The wee man is a F***ing magician" and he hates Celtic. My Derby supporting mates and sons loved him for Derby as well last year mate. Bags of talent by all accounts and at times championship defenders couldnt get near him.
I’ve read today (and don’t know where to find it now) that we’ve been linked with Stoke midfielder Tashan Oakley Booth. Don’t know if he’s defensive but looks like he’s a big lad! This will have been somewhere on either this or t’other forum.
It’s very clear he’s been briefed by someone from the club to run that rather than just weirdly make it up off the top of his head. You think the sports editor would just say ‘cool, let’s run your fantasy for the crack?’No up to date quotes in the article and nothing new in it either, just twisted what he said mid weeks, poor from Wilson
I don’t need to tell you all how ****ing delighted I am with Roberts.
I feel I’ve made my position clear all week on it, top, top signing strong argument that it’s the best signing in this league this season.

Jags fans know their football (well apart from Alan Nixon)
He could be our new Magic Johnson. We just need the new Kevin Phillips to play alongside Stewart now.
If we can just get out of this ****e bloody league. I think we are starting to build the basis for a good championship side.Yeah i remember you saying that mate. I know a few Boro lads that speak highly of him aswell during his time there.
He's in the same boat as Pritchard now. Both had huge potential and now rebuilding their careers in league 1 with us. Pritchard has already shown in glimpses his ability is a class above.

If he has been briefed then surely there’s got to be more substance in his story? All he has done is requoted his comments from mid week, he has always been extremely hit or miss for me so like I always do with him I’m taking it with a massive pinch of saltIt’s very clear he’s been briefed by someone from the club to run that rather than just weirdly make it up off the top of his head. What’s more interesting to me is who has briefed it and why. The side of the recruitment team who want Defoe or those who don’t? Cui bono?

Geads will be the perfect mentor for him

I think once the politics settle down, defoe could very well end up here.
He’s not going to get new quotes if the story comes as part of political manoeuvring within the clubIf he has been briefed then surely there’s got to be more substance in his story?
